Family game night is always a big deal at our house! It’s a great way to get everyone unplugged and social with each other face to face. Getting the family engaged in a board or card game is one of my favorite things.
Sometimes you need an easy game that is fun for only 2 players. My youngest daughter loves game time more than anyone, so having a game that just the two of us can play is important. We love to play Mancala, which is perfect for two players. Cars 3 Thunder Hollow Mud Madness is also a two person game! Tonight Emma and I spent some time playing this game together and it was super fun!
Cars 3 Thunder Hollow Mud Madness is a two player game and was sent to us to check out by Spin Master, who has sponsored this post. It is one of a few new Cars 3 games they have out. Spin Master Games – Cars 3 toys are available now at Walmart, Amazon and Toys”R”Us!
- Cars 3 Risky Raceway: Walmart
- Cars 3 Piston Cup Showdown: Toys R Us
- Cars 3 Cardinal Cars Fishing Game: Walmart
We can’t wait to add the others to our collection as well! If they are as easy and stress-free as this one, then I’m sold. The rules were simple to follow and the game play was easy and didn’t stress me or Emma out. There were no meltdowns from mom or daughter! It is ages 5 and up so most children can play. It involves racing and crashing, what could be more fun?
Setting it up was a cool start! The game board is a puzzle (two sided even).
You have 2 cars to choose from. You can either be Lightning McQueen or Cruz Ramirez. Line up behind the start line and roll the die! There are two dice, one is the Red Risky Die which helps you move fast, but it has a crash symbol that you could roll that makes you move back a spot. The other is the Yello Safe Die, which doesn’t give you high roll numbers, but you can’t roll a crash. So you choose each time which die to use. There are also crashes set up on the board that you may land on!
As you move around the board your goal is to collect all 3 flags first. Each lap gets you a flag that you keep track of on your play mat.
The first player to collect all 3 flags is the winner! It’s a pretty fast paced game that can be played several times without getting bored.
Emma is ready to play again, so I better wrap this up!! Have you seen Cars 3? Have you played any of the games? What are your family game night picks?
