Dressing Things up with Color

06.08.2010 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Glidden. All opinions are 100% mine.

Right now we rent a home.  Morgan is bugging me about painting her room and the landlord said we could as long as we painted everything back to a neutral color if we decided to move.  Choosing the right color is where we are at now.

Tester_Brush3-200x300Glidden has inexpensive paint testers that you can get at Home Depot.  Getting the testers will be helpful because we can see it in it’s environment and be sure it is the look she wants.  They also come with a handy brush that is included in the lid.

There is no way that we can choose just by looking at some tiny colors on a strip of paper.  I need to see it on the wall.  I think the testers would be great to keep on hand for touch ups as well.  Much easier than storing a full can.

They also have some XL Paint Chips that make it much easier to see how the color would look in the lighting in our house.

The Glidden website also has a feature called the room painter to help pick out the colors for your rooms that look good together.  When you find some colors you like you can drag them to the walls and ceiling until you get the perfect color combo.  What is even cooler is that you can then share it on Twitter and Facebook so your friends can give you their opinions!  You can also save your look and calculate how much paint you need to do the job!  You can try out the room painter here http://bit.ly/bjLb2u
