Did you know that Arthur is the longest running kids animated series on television? It’s premiering it’s 15th season on Monday, October 10, on PBS KIDS GO!
My kids love Arthur! I think the show demonstrates good morals and lessons for kids. The new season will premiere with “Fifteen,” featuring Arthur and his friends racing against the clock in an action-packed “24” inspired episode.
Make sure you don’t miss it!
I also wanted to tell you about this event that ScrollMotion is hosting called “ARTHUR GOES DIGITAL,” a children’s digital reading event in New York City on Sunday, October 2, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm ET.
This is a free reading event that will feature an in-person appearance by Marc Brown (the creator of the globally beloved Arthur children’s books and television programs). Marc will read aloud from his digital storybook apps for the very first time. He will also give an interactive lesson on how to draw Arthur and his friends. There will also be a free raffle of autographed Arthur illustrations will also take place during the event.
Speaking of the apps, my girls and I were able to play around with them! The girls play on my iPod daily! In fact, they use it more than I do! They love the Arthur apps! We have the 3 that are listed below.
The app is compatible with the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch and available for $2.99 on the iTunes App store. The girls can read through the pages of the book or listen to it being read to them. You can even record it being read in your voice! The apps also have puzzles of Arthur illustrations and coloring pictures of Arthur, DW, Buster, Francine! They are really fun for kids!
Disclosure: I received the apps listed above for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
