Wow, just small little trips to the store or even just a ride in the car are wearing me out! Today was Morgan’s first day of her volunteering for the summer. It is a hot day here in Texas. We came home to a broken air conditioner. Just what we need on top of everything else right?
This summer, for 6 weeks that started today, Morgan is a teachers assistant in a Horsemanship class. She was a student in this class last year and is so excited to be able to help other kids learn about caring for horses. It gives Morgan an opprotunity to help teach others, as well as spend her Saturdays with her favorite animals. These classes are hosted by a wonderful family that lives in our area. The best thing, they host all of these classes for FREE. So amazing!
We do not have our own horses, so this gives her a little fill on the desire she has to be with them. Her Grandmother also has several horses that Morgan spends time with as well. I’m hoping that when Morgan turns 14 that she can begin volunteering at a Horse Therapy program. This would put her in an environment of working with horses as well as special needs children.
Morgan loves to volunteer, have you looked into any volunteer opportunities for your children? Right now is the perfect time to get started.

When my son is older I’m hoping to get him started in volunteering, I think it’s great for kids! He is only 10 months now but as soon as we can start teaching him to give back we are all over it!
Hope you are getting back to ‘normal’ after surgery!
