Have you ever been to a dinner show before? I have and they were OK, like I wasn’t too thrilled with what I saw. So when I went to Dixie Stampede I thought it was going to be like others that I had watched before. Boy was I wrong! Dixie Stampede is FUN for the entire family! I would absolutely go back there with my family!
When you first arrive at Dixie Stampede you have the option of having your photo made. So be prepared for that and fix your hair and make up haha! I was NOT prepared for the photo haha! They also took our large group outside for a group photo. That was pretty fun as we all were yelling “STAMPEDE!”
After the photo you are guided into a large sitting area with tables to enjoy a wonderful pre show! I loved the pre show so much! I could have sat there all night enjoying the blue grass music. There were even songs that we sang in church when I was little! The staff is dressed in costume and you will even catch the servers twirling about in their pretty dresses!
The photo above shows a few blogger friends enjoying their non alcoholic fancy fru-fru drinks!
The show kicked off with a good old fashioned dueling banjos show down! They moved to the stage and from there on out it was non stop entertainment! These musicians were truly talented and funny as well!
My friend Lisa sang along with almost every song they played! I loved it! Like I said, I could have sat there all night. But then it was time to head in to the arena for the main event!
The Dixie Stampede consists of a friendly North and South competition, horse riding stunts, special effects, music and let’s not forget a four-course feast complete with a delicious dessert!
The show was fantastic! I know my whole family would enjoy a show like this! The storyline was cool, the comedy was hilarious, the riding was phenomenal with trick riders as well! There was a pig race, stick horse race, etc etc and a lot of interaction with the audience! I think this is a must see if you are traveling and vacationing in Pigeon Forge!
The food was also better than any dinner show I have attended! I ordered the Vegetarian option, but witnessed the delight of the ladies around me with their dinner. A hands on meal for sure as there are no utensils! Ha!
This is what I ate:
- Country Garden Vegetable Pasta
- Dixie Stampede’s Original Creamy Vegetable Soup
- Scrumptious Homemade Biscuit
- Hot Buttered Corn on the Cob
- Tasty Herb-basted Potato
- Dixie’s very own Specialty Dessert

If you are in it for the meat, this is what you would get:

- Scrumptious Homemade Biscuit
- Hot Buttered Corn on the Cob
