Dean’s Dip for the Holidays, Giveaway!

11.22.2010 by Girl on Fire //

Winner is Author: SLS
For all of our get togethers we have dip.  Chips and Dip, Veggies and Dip.  You can’t go wrong with dip.  America is a dippin’ kind of place.

Dean’s Dip wants to introduce 2 NEW twists in Dairy Dips!  NEW Pretzel Dips from Dean’s® Dip, the #1 Dairy Dip brand!

HONEY MUSTARD

Add a sweet twist to a savory pretzel! This classic pretzel dip made with real honey and Dijon mustard is a low-fat snack worth savoring! Try it on pretzel twists, sticks, or chips. Also great with other finger foods like chicken nuggets or egg rolls.

CHEDDAR CHEESE

Cheddar Cheese and pretzels go together like Oktoberfest and beer. The tangy flavor of cheddar cheese adds a zesty zip to pretzels or chips, crackers or baked potatoes.

Who makes Dean’s Dip and where is it made?

  • Dean’s Dip is manufactured by Ventura Foods.
  • Dean’s Dip is made in America’s dairy region in Illinois.

I’m thinking about making this recipe for our Holiday get togethers!

Cheesy Layered Dip

  • Prep Time: 20 minutes
  • Servings: 10

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (1-ounce) packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1 (16-ounce) can refried beans
  • 1 (12-ounce) tub Dean’s Cheddar Cheese Pretzel Dip
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup salsa
  • Choice of pretzels, tortilla chips, crackers, vegetables, pita chips or bagel chips for dipping

Directions:

Prepare ground beef and taco seasoning mix according to instructions on taco seasoning packet.

Spread refried beans on bottom of 10-inch glass pie plate or similar serving dish. Top with cooked taco-seasoned ground beef. Stir Dean’s Cheddar Cheese Pretzel Dip and spoon over the top of the ground beef. Use back of spoon to spread Dip over beef almost to the edges (some of the beef will show). Mound lettuce in center of cheese layer. Top with sour cream and salsa. Serve immediately with choice of dippers.

You can find this and more recipes by visiting the Dean’s Dip website!
