Cutting Down Cell Phone Bills

08.23.2013 by Girl on Fire // 1 Comment

This post brought to you by Republic Wireless. All opinions are 100% mine.

For many years I was a Sprint customer.  Our bills kept getting higher and higher.  It got to the point that I said no more and switched to a pre-paid plan through Virgin Mobile.  I thought I had found a fantastic deal.  Our bill went down to almost half od what we were paying before.

But now I just learned about Republic Wireless and their $19 a month plan.  $19???  For only $19 you get unlimited data, talk and text!  That sounds like crazy talk, but it's real talk!  The plan works goes a long with the Motorola Defy XT phone.  It's an Android smart phone that is optimized to connect over the Sprint network and WIFI.

It has a 5 MP camera as well as a front-facing camera. The Defy is also dust proof and water resistant.  Let's not forget the Corning Gorilla Glass display!   This is perfect for my husband!

It's a pretty sharp looking phone.  I think it would also be a great Christmas present for my 15 year old daughter.  She could totally handle the expense of the $19 plan.  Yes, our kids pay their own cell phone service.  It also sounds very durable which coveres kids and husbands.

I think I would even dig this phone for myself.  That $19 a month unlimited plan sounds mighty fine!

It also has something called Hybrid Wi-Fi technology.  I'm really not sure what that means, but I'm going to go check into it somemore.  I'm not a techie smarty pants.  I like durabilty and value…I think this phone and plan has that covered for this mama!
