Recruiting, Promoting and Posters

04.08.2013 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

What are some of the best ways to recruit and promote besides the internet? Posters! By using custom poster printing you can really stand out. There are many places you can display posters, just be sure to ask first! Think about the people you want to target and be sure to hang the posters in places that they are sure to frequent.

You also need your poster to be appealing! Make it stand out, but don’t make it too wordy or too busy. Think about what you would actually stop to read. If it’s too long people get bored, if it’s too busy people get confused and overwhelmed. You want people to stop, look and read it! People like information immediately. If they have to work for it, then you might as well forget it. So be sure to think about that when designing your poster.

Also, be sure to use a quality place for your custom poster printing. You can get nicely printed posters at an inexpensive price. Be sure to get different sizes to accommodate the locations that you want to hang them in. Handbill style flyers are great to put in locations with posters as well. Just ask if you can place them on the counter for people to take. This way the poster sparks the interest and the info can be taken with the handbill.

What are some other ideas that you use for recruiting and promoting? Attending events? Volunteering? Setting up information booths? Leave some of your ideas in the comments below! I would love to hear some ideas that I may not have considered yet. I definitely need some more ideas since I am now on the committee for recruiting for the Jr. Derby team my kids are on.
