Coupons, Are They Worth Your Time?

05.28.2012 by Girl on Fire // 2 Comments

As I convert back over to a RAW foods way of eating, I notice that there really isn’t all that much that I can use coupons for.  I wish there were coupons for fresh fruits and vegetables.

However, there can be coupons found for other things like spices, oils and other condiments.  I can also still use coupons on other things the family likes and needs.  They are not RAW and there are still other foods that are healthy that do have coupons.

We also use coupons on cleaning supplies, personal care and other non food items.  Pet food and supplies is another category that we use coupons for.

If you are of the healthy eating type, what all do you use coupons on?  Do you feel coupons are worth your time?  For our family they are definitely worth it!

I don’t coupon as much as I used to. Ever since Kroger stopped double and tripling it kinds ruined it for me. I do price match at Walmart A LOT. That’s the easiest way to save on fruits and veggies. http://Www.dfwpricematcher.blogspot.com does all the work- I just print out the list. That might help with your raw diet.

I find that eating out less, buying more healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, and humanely raised meats doesn’t really accommodate coupons but there are coupons for canned tuna, pickles, lunch meat, etc. I am an “everything in moderation” person. It helps to be that way when you are buying more costly, healthy foods. I think tuna or turkey meat is just fine and I cannot live without my dairy.
