You know how when you are out at the malls and you see these perfectly decorated Christmas trees. You’re all like, man I wish I could do that! You think oh it would be so difficult and so expensive. Well, we were wrong.
Sam’s Club sent me a 7 foot artificial Christmas tree and sent me on a task to get it decorated. The look that was assigned to me was called Warm Winter. There is a book with all the looks and instructions. The colors are gorgeous browns and lime green. When I seen the photo I seriously thought there was no way I was going to pull this one off. I almost had a nervous breakdown! You can find more information on Sam’s Club holiday items by clicking here.
I went to Sam’s Club with my list from the instructions and purchased one 3 piece set of brown decorated lighted gift boxes, 2 rolls of Lime Green Mesh, Lime Green Ribbon, Brown Ribbon, a set of 4 jumbo brown ornaments and a set of 100 shatterproof ornaments in browns and greens.
The mesh is what scared me the most, but really all I had to do was twist and tuck all the way around the tree! It looked so gorgeous with just that and the lights that are already on the tree. We always have real trees, so I did not realize how easy a pre-lit tree was!
So here it is, please tell me what you think!
You know what the best part is? The tree that I decorated will be donated to a local charity called the CCA. The CCA is the Christian Community Action. They run a few thrift stores to help fund themselves. They provide food and medical care for those that can not afford it. I was so happy when I found out they would be getting the tree I decorated! I shop their thrift stores all the time!
Ok, now I need your help! My tree is in a contest! If you could click here and go vote on my photo that would be SO awesome!

“Unfortunate Christmas Tree” photo
The picture will speak for itself. Charlie Brown’s tree has nothing on this tree!
PS- Voted for your tree, Brandy!
My picture probably isn’t what your expecting, but i think it fits with the theme of the “Unfortunate Christmas tree”, although mine is actually a Yule tree. We purchased a live tree several years ago to use as our Yule tree. We dig it up and bring it inside the house to decorate and then replant it after the holidays.
This summer we had some land cleared and one of the big machines backed over our Yule tree. Our Yule tree was at the edge of our yard, not in the are being cleared. My poor unfortunate Yule tree did not survive. 🙁
