Chickens and Goats… Munchkin Land Farm!

10.24.2013 by Girl on Fire // 3 Comments

Well, we have some chickens and goats now!

I still want to get some more chickens though.  At the moment we have a mix of 12.  None of them are laying at the moment.  Some due to the stress of moving and some are in molt and fall is here.  I’m very impatiently waiting for that first egg!phoebe5114-copyWe also added 2 Nigerian Dwarf Goats.  These belong to Morgan.  One is most definitely pregnant and due in December or January and the other is most likely pregnant and due in April.  We are both nervous and excited.  Babies are only about 2 lbs at birth!  Thankfully I have a friend that I will put on speed dial to be my on call goat birthing midwife hahaha!

This is Buttercup…

Blue Eyed BettySo cute!  I had a goat when I was younger.  She was much bigger than these tiny girls though.  They are fun and very entertaining pets to have!  These girls will have a job though around here and that is MILK!

The baby mini horses and mini donkeys are getting more brave.  These two decided to check out my camera…
