Celebrate National Salad Month with READ® Salad Days!

Five New Salad Recipes and Sweepstakes Prizes Will Be Featured During the First Week of National Salad Month

May 3, 2021 – Chicago, IL – As the weather warms and spring takes hold, salads take a starring role on lunch and dinner tables across the country. To mark National Salad Month, READ Salads, one of America’s most loved brands of tasty, ready-to-eat salads, is partnering with some of America’s favorite food bloggers for the first READ Salad Days celebration, from May 3-7. 

Home cooks will find inspiration to make salads a star dish from blogs including:

365 Days of Baking, Easy Family Recipes, Eazy Peazy Mealz, Lemon Tree Dwelling, and Tried & Tasty.

Each blogger will take over READ Salads’ Instagram and Facebook feeds (@READSalads) for a day, and READ Salads followers and fans can enter to win one of five prize packages including a case of READ Salads for themselves and a case to give to a friend, plus a $50 Amazon card. Sweepstakes runs from May 3-13.

Each blogger has created an original recipe using READ 3 Bean Salad, 4 Bean Salad, or German Potato Salad, as well as a clever video showing how the dish comes together quickly and easily.

All recipes will be posted on the READ Salads website, and on the READ Salads YouTube Channel.

BLT POTATO SALAD

Preparation Time: 20 minutes 

1can (15 ounces) READ German Potato Salad
3Roma tomatoes, diced
1/4cup finely diced red onion
2cups baby arugula
6slices crisp-cooked bacon, crumbled
  1. Place potato salad in a large bowl. Gently stir in diced tomatoes and onion.
  2. Add arugula; stir gently to combine. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon. Serve immediately.

Note: To serve cold, prepare through Step 1 and refrigerate. When ready to serve, add arugula; stir gently to combine. Sprinkle with bacon.

Makes 4 servings.
