I’m Using CBD to Help Manage My RSD (CRPS)

06.08.2015 by Girl on Fire // 8 Comments

So, I’ve been dealing with RSD for a long time now.  I still have not done any sort of pain management.  I have considered it, I have even looked into it.  Then I think, do I REALLY want to damage my body with more chemicals?  Nope, I don’t.

Instead I decided to add in more natural things to help.  I’ve already posted about eating primarily raw foods, that helps quite a bit.  I have also talked about massage and how it has helped me.  I have also added essential oils to my daily routines.  My newest add in to my lifestyle changes would be using CBD from the Hemp plant to help manage and treat my condition. You can get a coupon code here.

Kannaway Hemp Is Not The Enemy

 What is CBD?

Cannabidiol is one of at least 85 active cannabinoids identified in cannabis. It is a major phytocannabinoid, accounting for up to 40% of the plant’s extract. CBD is considered to have a wider scope of medical applications than tetrahydrocannabinol. Wikipedia

CBD doesn’t get you high.

Kannaway Rise Above The Ignorance

CBD is legal because it is NOT THC.  THC is what gives people the “high”.  CBD is a great treatment option for people like me.  The anti-inflammatory effects from CBD have truly changed things for me.  Reduced inflammation means less pain.  I’m also using it to treat my anxiety, depression and insomnia.

I am so thankful that I tried CBD as it is changing my life.  I’m having a higher quality life and feeling better than I have in years.

Am I cured?  Well, no.  There is no known cure for RSD.  Am I pain free?  Nope, but any improvement is improvement!  I’ll take what I can get!  Let me know in the comments if you have any questions!

I was just diagnosed with RSD yesterday, after 4 1/2 years of constant pain. I am trying the CBD topical this week and would love to chat. It’s awesome that it worked for you, well, that it helps, we both know there is no cure. Feel free to email me. Thanks for giving me some hope.

I am so sorry to hear that. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. BUT I am glad that you got a diagnosis. It is so hard to lie in pain not knowing what causes it. CBD does help. The salve really helps with someone of my joint pain. The essential oils help too. None of it takes the pain away, but any relief is good….even if it’s just a tiny bit. Are you seeing a neurologist?

I have RSD post traumatic injury. I have been dealing with it now for 7 months….not only do I have pain, but muscle spasms which then lead to more pain and fatigue. This is also starting to wear on my mental stamina…..I was a very active and in shape person: and this has totally benched me: (ankle and hip injury) Where can I find a quality product that is affordable. I am doing acupuncture, PT (water and land therapy) All sort of supplements and still struggling to get this RSD to go dormant as they say it will at some point….I’m expanding and searching for anything that legitimately could help.
Can you send me some quality product options that you are aware of.
    Thanks

Complex regional pain syndrome occurs in two types, with similar signs and symptoms, but different causes:

Type 1. Also known as reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome, this type occurs after an illness or injury that didn’t directly damage the nerves in your affected limb. About 90 percent of people with complex regional pain syndrome have type 1.
Type 2. Once referred to as causalgia, this type follows a distinct nerve injury.

My son has Complex Regional Pain syndrome, and CBD is also one of the few things that’s actually helping him. I give him water soluble BioCBDplus for his pain. – Olga

I’ve been suffering with RSD for 10 years now, Lordy Lordy. There aren’t enough words to express the horrible suffering and intense screaming I’ve done from the pain.
