Satisfy the Soda Craving with Cascade Ice!

09.06.2013 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

Sometimes I just crave the fizzy sweetness of a soda.  I know it isn’t a good choice for me.  Over the years I have cut back a lot, however offer me a fountain coke and I usually wouldn’t turn it down.  Soda and other drinks like Lemonade can contain upwards of 38 grams of sugar.  Sugar is not good for my condition and I already consume too much in my coffee.  So what are my options?  Well a new one for me is Cascade Ice!

Recently I was sent a few bottles in different flavors to try out.  Cascade Ice is a zero-calorie, sparkling flavored water.  It doesn’t contain any unhealthy “extras” like sugar, sodium, caffeine and gluten. The line comes in 21 flavors!  Some of those flavors are Orange Mango, Coconut, Strawberry Lemonade and Pomegranate Berry!  I would love to try the Coconut.

So I put it to the test with my kids and myself…passed with flying colors!  Great taste!  This will be kept on hand!  Definitely great to have on hand for cookouts and get togethers.ZeroCalSalesSheet

Here are some fun recipes that you can make with Cascade Ice!

Apple Fizzie
Just pour 6oz Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie McIntosh Apple over ice, add in sliced apples and sprinkle in some cinnamon. For the perfect after-school combo, serve the extra apple slices with a tablespoon of peanut butter!

Back-to-School Berry Blast
To create one, mix 1 cup of apple slices, 3Ž4 cup Greek yogurt, 1Ž2 cup soy or almond milk, a handful of fresh berries and 4oz Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie Pomegranate Berry in a blender. Blend until smooth and top with a few more fresh berries.

Watermelon Slushie
Watermelon is oh-so-delicious, and ripe for the pickin’ this fall. In a blender, combine a few handfuls of ice, several seedless watermelon chunks and 8oz Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie Blueberry Watermelon. Then, pour in 6oz of club soda. Blend to desired consistency and enjoy!

We received samples of Cascade Ice to facilitate this review.  All opinions are my own and no compensation was received.
