Finding Affordable Camping Gear

08.20.2014 by Girl on Fire // 2 Comments

We love to camp, we haven’t been able to go lately though. Hopefully this fall we can find a few days to get out into the wilderness for some family bonding. We have one large tent, but as the kids grow I think it is time to add in another tent. So I am on the lookout for camping gear that’s discounted…you know I am always trying to save! While searching I found a site called The Clymb. They have a whole section of stuff that is 60-90% off. I like those numbers!

I’m not only looking for another tent, there are some other things that we would like to have before we get out there again. I always worry about my camera getting wet. I stress about it every time. I would love to get a Digi-Pouch to keep it dry, it hooks onto your pack easily. Normally they are $60, but I found them in the sale section for only $19.98! That is a HUGE savings!

I also found some really nice Columbia Radiator 40 Semi-Rec II LH sleeping bags for only $29.98! Regular price on them is $109! We really need to replace 3 of our sleeping bags, so this would be a massive savings. Then as I browsed some more, I came across the hiking shoes. The prices were unbelievable. Great shoes for very affordable prices.

This website is now stored in my book marks. I am so happy to have found a place to buy quality outdoor gear at a great price. So now I can make my list, figure out my budget and get prepared for an epic fall camping trip! We will also need to take an inventory of the camping gear that we already have and check the condition of all of it as well. It’s not fun to get to your site and then find out there is a huge hole in your tent!

Did you go camping this summer? I’m more of a fall camper myself. I love the crisp cool air at night. Mild temperatures during the day to make hiking pleasant but warm enough to be comfortable out on the boat. My RSD has made planning these outdoor trips a little harder, but with an air mattress, good planning and proper weather…I can totally handle it!  Oh and these days a good walking cane is needed as well!

This sounds like a great site for awesome prices on different types of camping gear. I don’t camp much myself but I have friends and family that do. I will have to let them know about this site.
