Long ago I thought that all hair products and tools were the same. It didn’t matter to me that I had a $15 flat iron. I didn’t know better. As the years went by I learned that there most certainly is a difference! For one, my $15 flat iron sure didn’t hold up long. It also took forever to heat up and was damaging my hair.
Hair Straighteners have come a long way and I’m happy to report that I have a great one. What I want to know now though is… What makes a hair dryer different? I’ll admit I have bought some super cheapies and burnt the motors out on them quickly, besides burning up fast what are some other differences in blow dryers?
I was checking out this list called the Best Hair Dryers. I had no idea there were ceramic hair dryers! I know when you look you will be like wow, that’s expensive. Well in my efforts to skimp and save I have learned that sometimes it is best to spend a little more and get a quality product that lasts for a long time and works properly.

Wow–even the “budget” hair dryer costs more than $100! I do like the ionic/ceramic technology, though, so it’s probably worth it.
Of course, as a baldie, I have never given hair dryers much thought. But now that I have a daughter that has hair, I have been trying to figure out which would be best for her. I’ve read that cool air hair dryers are best for curly hair–to minimize heat damage–but haven’t found any that I am ready to spend the money on. off to check out your list now. THanks.
