Best Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle
As many of you know, I have a degenerative neurological disorder called RSD, or sometimes CRPS. I have been fighting to keep walking, but eventually, I know that I may lose that fight and end up in a wheelchair. So the topic of the best wheelchair accessible vehicle is something that hits home. You may also know that my dad had a massive brain bleed and was wheelchair bound. So, this is a topic that we can relate to. I watched my mom struggle with getting my dad in and out, putting the wheelchair up, etc and it was really hard!
NMEDA is a company that specializes in modified vehicles and equipment to make things much easier on people that are wheelchair bound and on their families. They have dealerships in both the USA and Canada.
The NMEDA QAP (Quality Assurance Program) is an important feature they have. All NMEDA mobility equipment dealers have to be QAP accredited, This promotes a higher standard for safety, quality and integrity. When it comes to your family, you want the best for them, this id definitely not a place to slack on safety.
May is National Mobility Awareness Month . There will be vehicles given away that could make someone’s life so much better. Often times, those of us with disabilities feel like we are a burden on others. Imagine what this could do for someone’s self-confidence!
