What Bedding Material Is Best For Kids

10.21.2021 by Mattie Cook // Leave a Comment

I don’t know about y’all, but I am picky when it comes to choosing things for my child. I skimp out on the things I want/need in order to provide my son with better honestly.

My son isn’t a baby anymore and it is time for me to start moving towards a big boy bed! When he was a baby we co-slept and then as he got more mobile I transitioned him to his crib. Now that he is getting taller it is time for a big boy bed. I had considered a toddler bed at first, but ultimately decided on a twin bed instead. I feel like with a toddler bed I would only get a year of use from it and then have to buy another bed again.

So of course after I chose a bed and what size, I had to move on to the fun part. Bedding! For sheets I honestly just wanted something simple, no bright colors or flashy designs. My son tends to get pretty hot when he sleeps, so I needed something cooling for him. I try my hardest to save money wherever I can, I always take the cheaper route if possible.

That being said; bedding is not something that I could ever get myself to skimp on! Sleep is way too important to me to do that to myself or my son. I would like to say I have slept in for hours since I got these sheets, but honestly… if you have a toddler you know that is impossible! HAHA! I could definitely get a few more hours with how comfy I am though.

After making a list of must-haves, I began my search. I am one of those moms that will research and read reviews for literally hours. I’m not kidding when I tell you that I once spent hours reading reviews on a sippy cup! My search for the perfect bedding set for my son (I may have gotten a set too) finally led me to Nolah bamboo sheet sets! Y’all these are literally the best bamboo sheets! Or even sheets in general!

Nolah bamboo sheets are cooling, moisture wicking and hypoallergenic! Not only that, but these bad boys are cozy! They are also antibacterial and if you have children you definitely know how important that is! If you are in the market for some new bedding for you or your child, then I highly recommend these ones!

Flicka, Ricka, Dicka and Their New Skates! Perfect for Christmas!

Do you remember this book?  Flicka, Ricka, Dicka and Their New Skates I think the classics are the best!  These were originally published in the ’40s and ’50s! They are wholesome adventures of three little Swedish girls, Flicka, Ricka, and Dicka, and three little boys, Snipp, Snapp, and Snurr. My girls love the story and […]
