BE HAPPY, BE THANKFUL and LIVE YOUR LIFE the way YOU WANT TO LIVE IT!

01.14.2010 by Girl on Fire // 6 Comments

I can not dwell on negativity. I have been through a lot of hell in my life, don’t worry…I’m not going to unload. I just have made it a goal the last several years to be positive. To focus on the good and what happens…well, it happens. My life was full of bad luck. Still is really, but now I focus on the good luck and fortune we have. I focus on my healthy, beautiful smart girls. My wonderful J-man and the rest of my family…things that make me happy.

Sure we all get down, but it could be way worse. WAY WORSE. If something makes you unhappy, get it out of your life. Find something you enjoy and focus on that. Make new friends, go to church, get a hobby! Get lost in a book….anything. Don’t dwell on the what ifs, could haves, should haves, would haves in life. LIVE life. Don’t waste it away thinking about things that you can not change or those things that do not improve your life and the quality of it.

I’m saying BE HAPPY, BE THANKFUL and LIVE YOUR LIFE the way YOU WANT TO LIVE IT. No one can change your life but you. No one can make you happy, but YOU. Your joy of your life is in your hands….

I couldn’t agree more! Actually, my “resolution” of sorts for this year is to be more positive. I think if you focus on the positive, notice all the good things you have, and don’t dwell on the negative then you (and everyone around you) will be much happier overall. Great post!

Great post!! Never look back always focus on moving forward. It is so easy to be negative but once you set your mind to changing the way you feel to thinking more positive then positive things will come to you. It’s also good to check those who you surround yourself with…they can make a world of difference.

    Love visiting your blog!!

I am so proud of you for this for this post. The past is the past but life continues to dump crappy things on those who try so hard in life by doing their best and right thing. You, and your brother both, have been going through this trauma of your dad’s illness without my shoulder, being so far away, and I can only imagine how hard this is on you. I know how hard it is for me and I am here with him. Knowing you both have wonderful partners in your life and the greatest kids and grand doggies ever, helps us get through each day. We both look at what others are going through, much worse for many, and feel blessed with what we do have. We just have to “Suck It Up” as you would say, and keep plugging along.
    This too shall pass!
I am sharing this post with many others who are constantly whining daily about Nothing! Great job kiddo, Hugs & XO’s
