I am back from Hollywood! I actually got in very late Sunday night, early Monday morning. The weekend was so jam packed that I had to take a few days and just chill. WOW. I don’t even know where to begin. I definitely have to break it all up into separate posts. For now, I’m just going to post an outline/overview of what went down…
I was so nervous I was going to be late getting in. There was an issue with the plane I was flying out on and they had to switch planes and then service the new plane they put us on.
Talk about stress! It doesn’t settle right with me to be on a second plane and them tell you they are servicing it still. Yikes!
I finally made it to L.A. and there was a driver with a sign that said B. Arizett…I figured that had to be me even though the name was wrong. I was right. The driver and I talked about all things Neurological all the way to Hollywood. Turns out he has some of the same issues as me. Talking made the ride go by a bit faster since there was some traffic on the way.
I arrived at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel…um wow! This hotel is in the middle of everything! I was anxious to dump off my bags to my room so that I could really take it all in. When I got to my room I looked out the window and the view was amazing! That photo of the Hollywood sign above was taken from my room window! How fantastic is that? Go to Hollywood and have that view from your room? Right then and there I knew this was going to be an amazing trip!
By this time I was absolutely starving! I headed down to the hotel bar where I met up with Lee and Tricia. I already knew Lee and I think she’s pretty awesome. This was my first time meeting Tricia and she is hilarious! So much fun to be around! At the hotel Bar I knew we didn’t have much time so I ordered some french fries and a Shiner Bock to calm my nerves. Yes, Shiner Bock in Hollywood…AWESOME! When I ordered it they said they had it on stock from a Texas College thing they had recently held there. When they found out I was from Texas they went and brought a whole case up…did someone talk to them about me? Or is it just people from Texas in general?
Then Jen got there and I finally had someone to smoke an evil bad disgusting cigarette with…… This is one rad chick! Each trip I have been on I end up meeting the most awesome people and she is definitely one of them! Before y’all ream me about smoking…I’ll quit. I swear. This year and last year have been really hard. One thing at a time folks…
Anyhow! The moms gathered. 20 of us! Dustin and Marshall sure did have their hands full! They kept everything running on time the whole weekend. I can not believe they pulled this off so well. We left the Hotel to go to the Gnomeo & Juliet Junket screening. I can’t post any details or review yet on the movie, but it will be coming soon!
