Awesome Christmas Gift Idea!

10.15.2009 by Girl on Fire // 8 Comments

The air outside is crisp and clean feeling, winter is definitely on the way!  I’m so excited!  Along with winter comes Christmas!  I love the excitement that Christmas brings to the house. I’ve made it pretty clear that I love wooden toys. I’m not a big fan of the toys of the current time.  I love vintage, retro inspired toys.   Toys that let my daughter’s imagination flow.  I’m sure you can imagine my feelings when I found a red vintage style play kitchen.

You really can not go wrong with pretend play kitchens as gifts.  I have never seen a kid that did not play make believe. The kitchen is the heart of the home and children love to mimic!  My daughter will spend hours a day playing house.

When I seen the KidKraft Red Vintage Kitchen I was in love.  I love that it is constructed from wood!  It also comes with a ladle, pot and vintage looking apron!  How cute is this?  It comes with a cordless phone, knobs that click when you turn them and sink that you can remove for easy cleaning!  I could see my girls having a ton of fun with this kitchen!  A toy that would definitely provide years of fun! They have a lot of wooden kitchen accessories that would be great to add with this.

What is on your shopping list this year?

That is so cute! My daughter is a little to big for that now, but she would have loved that a year ago!

Isn’t it! Much nicer than the plastic one that we have. I have the same one that I got for my oldest when she was little. She is 11 now! I love the wooden toys so much more.

This is exactly what we are looking for my our darling granddaughter for Christmas. They are just so doggone expensive, so we are searching online and locally. She will be two years old three days after Christmas, so it’s important to make sure the birthday gift is just as special as the Christmas gift. Hard to do already – and she’ll only be two!

Cool thing is, this will last a very long time and can be passed on from kid to kid. It is a toy that will always be popular. Also, something like this would still get a good resale value.

I had a play kitchen when I was a child, as as grown-up I love to be in the kitchen and to cook! I am planning on having custom gifts made this year for a lot of people. Calendars, bags, etc.
