Arthur’s Perfect Christmas!

12.17.2011 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

Do your kids like Arthur? My girls do!  Morgan loved it when she was little, but I think at 14 she has outgrown it.  Emma and Lauren love to watch it though.

“Arthur’s Perfect Christmas” is an hour-long special that originally aired in December of 2000 on PBS KIDS. That was so long ago! Anyhow they are re-releasing exclusively for download and rental on iTunes and Amazon.

We were able to have our very own little viewing party here at home!

About “Arthur’s Perfect Christmas”

In “Arthur’s Perfect Christmas” plans are underway in Elwood City for the best holidays ever! Arthur, D.W., their friends and family make preparations for perfect gifts, perfectparties, and perfect family traditions for Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. But, just as in real life, perfection cannot last and things begin to fall apart. Arthur learns that the joy in Christmas isn’t found in an artificial vision of the perfect holiday season but in the wonderfully messy, imperfect world he lives in.

We were sent a copy of “Arthur’s Perfect Christmas”. We also received a CD of the music from the special and even an Arthur holiday coloring book.

The girls enjoyed watching Arthur and his friends celebrating the Holidays in their own ways.  We celebrate Christmas in our home and the girls really do not know too much about what other religions celebrate at this time in their lives.

You can get the special for yourself!  Download on iTunes or Download on Amazon!

Celebrate the Holidays with Arthur Online

Additionally, there are fun holiday activities at http://pbskids.org/arthur/holiday/.  Kids can help Arthur celebrate the holidays by:

  • Viewing a special holiday song video
  • Combing through Brain’s big book of holiday terms
  • Dressing D.W. in holiday attire in D.W.’s Dress Up
  • Helping Sue Ellen with her holiday scrapbook
  • Enjoying some Arthur holiday coloring pages
  • Sending holiday e-cards to their friends

Special Holiday Merchandise

Fans of Arthur can also purchase holiday items from the Arthur section on Ty’s Toy Box. Items range from holiday books, to personalized stockings and ornaments.
