This is a guest post from Janna, the mother of lil Miss Darby…
Hello again, everyone! I wanted to share an exciting event and opportunity with you all. My friend Beth Weaver is donating her Birthday Wish to the American Liver Foundation!
Who is this Beth? Well…. 🙂 Beth, her husband, and three kids live in Wichita, KS. Through my daughter Darby’s journey with liver disease, I have met some amazing people, and Beth is one of them! We stay in touch daily through Facebook. Her 1 year old son, Denim, (who shares my birthday!) was born with biliary atresia, the same disease that has caused Darby to be on the liver transplant waiting list. Denim also helped raise funds for the ALF at his 1st birthday party! 🙂
Beth is turning 36 on October 24th, and she is asking for donations to the ALF for education, to raise awareness, support, and help prevent liver disease! If any of you know my daughter’s story, you know education and awareness are crucial for these kids. Pediatricians DO NOT always catch the signs!
There’s only 7 days left. Beth has already raised 20% towards her goal of $250. She is asking for $36, or any amount you can afford. Please help Beth’s Birthday Wish, and help the American Liver Foundation!
Oh, and if you’re not registered for organ donation, be sure to visit www.donatelife.net! Don’t take your organs to Heaven, God knows we need them here!

I hope she makes her goal!
Me too! I also hope that people go and sign up to be an organ donor! My little friend Darby is waiting on her new to her liver right now. 🙂
I’m an organ donor! If I can’t use my organs, and they’re viable, someone who can use them should.
