4 Parts of a Hemp Plant: What Are They Used For?

10.05.2020 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

There are four main parts of a hemp plant, and each has its own special use. CBG sourced from unique hemp strains in the U.S. takes this into account when searching for quality parts. Unlike marijuana, hemp is absent of the parts that can make you high. With hemp, you get all of the benefits with none of the side effect drawbacks.

1. Stalks

With the stalks, a few parts are extracted for commercial use. Products that use hemp stalks favor durability, and are great additions to clothes and accessories. You can find a lot of popular brands that use hemp stalks in their bags, shoes, clothes, belts and even phone cases.

Celebrities have been touting the effectiveness of hemp clothing for years. It is comfortable and has a knack for lasting much longer than regular clothing. Instead of withering away with each wash, hemp clothing manages to keep shape. In order to make this possible, quality hemp stalks are used for the extraction process.

2. Leaves

Consumers that are interested in the health effects of CBD will find that the leaves are the most important. Its antioxidant properties are incredible and have been used to treat several diseases. Out of all parts, the leaves require the most care in order to reap the full benefits. This is why it is important to choose manufacturers that take the handling of hemp leaves seriously.

Raw hemp leaves can be consumed, much like the seeds. Consumers that find skin oils and creams too abrasive can consume raw hemp leaves to help with aging skin. With a strong mix of Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, you can expect good results with continued usage.

3. Seeds

Hemp seeds are nutritious, tasty and can be considered a superfood. They provide the body with fuel without weighing it down with unnecessary carbohydrates. If you are looking to mix up your snacking habits, then hemp seeds make for a nice alternative.

They are rich in vitamins B and E, and contain just enough sodium to be beneficial. If you are low on electrolytes and forgot to bring a power drink, water and hemp seeds should do the trick. Along with a good dose of vitamins, hemp seeds contain necessary fatty acids to help with the immune system.

4. Roots

The healing qualities hemp root has been used in China for centuries. Its versatility is legendary, and you’ll find the roots reach their full potential when combined with other ingredients. The root is most notable for having glycoside, an organic molecule that purges the body of toxins. Advanced concoctions of hemp root can fight arthritis, joint pain, and cramps. You can even avoid normal creams and use hemp root to treat hemorrhoids or lower the pain of burns.

Wrap Up

Hemp has been around for a long time, and it isn’t going away. The health benefits are undeniable, and a big reason why people flock to it. If you want the benefits of marijuana without any of the psychoactive qualities, then hemp is your best choice.
