It had been a long time since Jenny and I just got to go out with our cameras and wander (drive and walk) aimlessly looking for those special places that called us to photograph them.
This time we took Lauren and Emma along with us. Morgan and Hanna were too busy being “teenagers” to be bothered to come along. So we packed up the little ones and began to drive.
We hit a “pumpkin patch”, the same one I took them to last year. It is run by a church youth group and all the proceeds go to their mission trip. They have a huge selection of pumpkins for a great price!
One of the first things we saw was this pumpkin that looks as though it has dreadlocks! I almost bought it! I figured I could through a Rasta hat and some Patchouli on it and be set…right?
For some reason the girls were under the impression that we were going to purchase some gigantic pumpkins this year. This one was big enough for Lauren to hide behind. First of all, I couldn’t have carried it, second of all…that is a whole lot of pumpkin guts!
This one looks a little more like what we need!

I think Emma loves this pumpkin! What do you think?
