It had been a long time since Jenny and I just got to go out with our cameras and wander (drive and walk) aimlessly looking for those special places that called us to photograph them.

This time we took Lauren and Emma along with us.  Morgan and Hanna were too busy being “teenagers” to be bothered to come along.  So we packed up the little ones and began to drive.

We hit a “pumpkin patch”, the same one I took them to last year.  It is run by a church youth group and all the proceeds go to their mission trip. They have a huge selection of pumpkins for a great price!
Pumpkin Patch Time! One of the first things we saw was this pumpkin that looks as though it has dreadlocks! I almost bought it!  I figured I could through a Rasta hat and some Patchouli on it and be set…right?

dreadlock pumpkinFor some reason the girls were under the impression that we were going to purchase some gigantic pumpkins this year.  This one was big enough for Lauren to hide behind. First of all, I couldn’t have carried it, second of all…that is a whole lot of pumpkin guts!

This one looks a little more like what we need!
This pumpkin is a bit more perfect!

I think Emma loves this pumpkin!  What do you think?

I wanted to share some photos from the shoots I did this past week!  First was Adrienne!  She needed a new head shot for her website.  Adrienne has an awesome company called Cleaning with Kids.  They have a great giveaway going on right now that you should check out.  I have not used the program yet, but I have read some great things about it.  Adrienne is an awesome, caring person and I think you would enjoy her and her family.  Please go check her out and enter the giveaway!

Isn’t she gorgeous?

I also was able to do a maternity shoot!  Krista is ready to pop that baby out!  I walked her all over the place that day and when she got home contractions started.  I don’t know what her status is as of today…I need to check on her and see if that baby made his appearance!

I also caught this moment where her daughters were exploring the lake.  I think it is super sweet!

Link up your Wordless Wednesday below so that we can come visit you too!

We like to go on family walks, but the summer kept us confined quite a bit.  Now that it has cooled down, we are totally taking advantage of it.  It is so nice to be outside!

The other day we went on a walk on a lake trail we have never been on.  I didn’t even know it was there!  So a very cool find for us.  There was a lot of interesting things to be seen on this walk.  The lake is way down from our drought.  Where parts of the lake was supposed to be, there was what appeared to be a meadow from a distance.

It’s kind of sad…you know seeing the lake bed, but also neat at the same time.  We found all sorts of things at the “bottom of the Lake”.  Like someone’s old bike.  Very cool!

So if you read my Doctor visit post, you know that I’m not having a very great time right now.

I’m not giving up though.  Right now I am waiting on an appointment with a new neurologist.  I’m at the point where I will even try experimental treatments.  I actually signed up to be notified of clinical trials in my area.  What else can I do?

Last night I cried as I scrubbed the bath tub.  It was everything I could do to hold onto the brush and painful to put pressure into scrubbing.  I did it though!  I did it until it was done and then I was relieved and I felt accomplished.  I can’t let myself fall into that place where I do nothing, because then I will become nothing and I’m not willing to let that happen.

We actually had rain last week and spotted this beautiful rainbow in front of the storm.  It was only there for a brief moment, but we seen it!

It was so nice to have a cool day and get out with Jenny to take some photos.  As usual we jumped in the car with no destination in mind.  We arrived in Lewisville, Texas.  Neither of us had ever ventured into the Downtown area, but now we are so glad we made that turn off the highway.

I still have more photos to upload, but here are a few from Monday.  Hope you like them!

The night before we went camping we decided to hit up the local carnival.  The girls are all at ages to enjoy this now and enjoy it they did!

I thought Emma would be a bit scared, she isn’t as adventurous as Lauren or Morgan.  I was wrong.  I think Emma Loved the carnival the most!  She would have stayed all night riding those rides if she could have had her way! Read More→

You know when it rains, it pours…right now it’s a freaking hurricane.  One thing after another keeps going wrong, including my car breaking down yet again.  This time with the children in the car with me.  UGH.  I had to push the Suburban quite a long way to get it out of traffic and out of towing zones. Today I go see the doctor.  I have rescheduled two times and cannot put it off any longer.  I am sure that I will leave with no answers.  I will come home with higher dosages, new meds and another insistence that I see a new neurologist.  I want to see a new neurologist.  It’s just the no insurance things makes it difficult. It’s so funny to me that so many people are under the assumption that it never snows in Texas.  Some people I know go as far as to think that the entire state of Texas is a desert.  Really?  No the state of Texas is not just a giant desert.  I can promise you we have a little bit of everything and it’s all just combined into the great state of Texas.
