There is no way that I can pick just one. Saturday night I was able to meet a few cool people, so I for sure want to share that photo. Then Sunday we had Morgan’s birthday party (but today is her birthday), so I want to share a photo of her with her cake. Monday we went on a hunt for Texas Wild Flowers, so of course I want to post those too!

There is no way I could pick just one photo! Please let me know what you think of them! I happen to be in love with our Monday pics! The Indian Paintbrushes were so pretty!

Quick update on me…I go in for the results of my labs on Friday and will post an update then. Thinking positive, I need an answer!

Wordless Wednesday, Where I play “Catch up”!

I hope everyone had a nice Holiday weekend! We have had wonderful weather and have been spending a lot of time outdoors.

We’ve been playing softball, blowing bubbles, playing with chalk, getting hit square in the forehead with a softball by my 3 yr old…yea, softballs…they’re not all that soft. I have a nice lump on my face. It’s a good look, you should try it!

Oh, apparently we have acquired some house pets. In the last few days I have found not 1, but 2 snakes in my house! The first one was in the bathroom and I think I stepped on it before I seen it. The other one was found yesterday when I moved the couch to vacuum and get lost toys and sock.

Both of them were the same kind and itty bitty. I wonder how many more of them are slithering around my house? Wonderful…

My photos today are from an Easter Egg hunt at the Grandmother’s home. I think they turned out pretty wonderful!

Wordless Wednesday

Yesterday was a special day at Sharkarosa…the Ranch was closed to normal visitors and opened for Homeschoolers only. I didn’t find out until yesterday morning that it was going on, so we hustled over there. The place was JAM PACKED! This is Texas after all, I think there are as many homeschool families as there are public school families! The staff said they have never had so many people at once!

I seen a few people I already knew and got to meet Mason, whom I will be photographing soon! I can’t wait. He has one rad mama named Ashley. Ashley is currently fund-raising for an adoption, please visit her and show your support.

Here are the details about the adoption and why she needs our support:

We are in the process of adopting a little girl with Down syndrome from Eastern Europe. If not adopted by the age of 4, orphans with Down syndrome are transferred to mental institutions, where they typically die within the first year from trauma and neglect.

She is a fantastic writer and will definitely make you laugh. So please head on over and meet her!

I also met some other fantastic people that I have never known before. We all had a great time! If you are in the area, this is a must see for your family!

Wordless Wednesday

I’ve been extremely busy, still try to catch up on all things I am behind on. This neuro issue is really messing with me. When I can get the headaches to a manageable place I work my butt off until I can not work anymore. I am revamping my photography site and as soon as that is finished I’ll post here and let you all know.

Recently Jenny and I took a trip to Austin for a few days. Just us and the kids. We stayed in a beautiful home in the hills. It was so nice to wake up to a yard full of deer. We went around taking pictures and I should have posted this last Wednesday, but being in the ER the entire day took my wordless Wednesday away. Blah. I missed a wordless Wednesday!

I really love this photo. Lauren is such a good big sister to Emma.

Wordless Wednesdays are so hard for me. I never know which photo to choose! So today I am posting more than one. It’s just too hard!!

We have had some amazing weather lately. The kids have been able to go out and play a lot and that rocks.

When kids play outside they get wore out and therefore go to sleep earlier. To me that is just pure freaking awesomeness! I’m all about some sleeping kids!

I do not have any softball practice photos yet because on softball days we get rain.

It’s really weird, we can have 3 straight days of beautiful weather. Practice day comes along and here comes the rain. I’m talking all day rain with thunder even. Lame. I’ll get some soon though!

I totally forgot about this. I have so much stuff buzzing through my brain right now. The Intel contest…I’m down to 5th place. If you haven’t voted today please do! You can vote once every 24 hours. I need all the votes i can get. I need this.

Morgan signed up for Softball again. She didn’t play last year, but she did the year before. It should be a lot of fun.

Her first practice should have been yesterday, but due to Monday rain…the fields were closed. Sunday is the next scheduled practice.

She did get some practice in here at home with the J-Man. They went out front to play catch.

Picture quality is not so great, it was almost completely dark out.

Her new team is called the Tigers, colors are Red and Black!

Wordless Wednesday

I take photos every single day. Narrowing it down to favorite photos is darn near impossible. Kids have so many different looks and expressions, things I want to remember. Silly looks they will not give you later in life. I want to capture all of it…the good, the bad, the tears of a drama filled little girl. It all goes by so fast.

I think this one has to be one of the top favorite photos I have ever taken of Emma though. The pose looks like it should be a pretty portrait, the expression….hilarious! Each time I look at it I crack up laughing. This is something to remember for sure. Emma my silly little girl.

Wordless Wednesday

We’ve had a few sunny days! I am so thankful for the sun right now! After weeks of rain, a crazy few days of snow…now everything seems to be getting back on track. Don’t get me wrong…I’m not wanting summer, but I sure would welcome spring! Nice sunny days with a breeze! Sounds perfect!

We just signed Morgan up for Softball again and she is so excited for training to start in a few weeks. I’ll be happy to take her and get some outdoor time with my camera and a book. We skipped last year, but this year she was ready to pick it back up!

One thing that the nice days brings out is happy horses! I’m so happy to see them up by the fences when I go to the J-mans grandmothers house. They are happy to see me too! Very friendly and very nosy! Check out this nosy horse for my Wordless Wednesday that is never very wordless…

I’m so thrilled that I have gotten Morgan to let me take some photos of her. Yes, I have resorted to bribery and blackmail. Hey, it works! Come on…I’m sure you have blackmailed or bribed your children atleast once right??

Walmart was having a huge sale on all of their Miley Cyrus line of clothing. Everything was down to $3-$7! She got a bunch of stuff for less than $40! This made her extremely happy and she let it all shine in these photos. I’m posting a few because I just couldn’t pick only one!

She was actually pleased with the pics as well! Double score right? Hopefully we can continue on with this trend!

I have no problem with blackmail and have the perfect photo to blackmail her with…she knows what it is! So Morgan…if you are reading this…know that I have the power!!!!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Haircutwmsmall

I got my hair cut! I talked about it awhile back asking for opinions. Well Saturday the deed was done! My friend came over to the house and did it for me. I let her just do it. I had no input and trusted her 100%.

I like it! What do you think? No more ponytails for sure! She made fun of me the whole time because of my gray hairs. I guess it’s time to dye again. Kind of faded looking anyhow and my roots are over an inch long! I guess that will be my next hair project!

I also got to take pics of her pretty new baby! Her name is Saylor and she is sooooo sweet. She was hungry when I started snapping pics, but still gave out some pretty smiles!

Wordless Wednesday

I’ve been sick, but I did manage to shoot some photos daily for my “365″ project. I also joined a new project on Monday called “Bench Monday”. I had never heard of Bench Monday, so I decided to check it out.

All the photos are of people standing on something, like a bench or chair for instance. Heck, some were even standing on the kitchen counter. The shots all were really awesome to look at. If you are not a flickr member, I highly suggest it. The creativity runs wild there. You will definitely be inspired.

It sounded like fun to me, so I grabbed up Lauren to do some of these Bench shots. We used our kitchen chair in front of a very muddied up sliding glass door (stupid dogs) with the early evening sun coming though. I love it. Her torn up jeans, her bare feet…all of it makes for a pretty cool portrait of my girl. What do you think?
