YourSphere Getting Signed Up!

Friday, May 14th, 2010

So I told you a few days ago about YourSphere.  Morgan is really loving it.  Signing up is super easy!  First I helped Morgan create her free account.  After that, I created my parent account and YouSphere verified my identity.  This was an easy process!  Once my account was verified I was able to activate Morgan’s account from my parent dashboard.

From the parents dashboard I can monitor all activity on Morgan’s account.  I feel better about letting her have the account because I do have access to everything going on.  She gets to have her social network, and I have the confidence of her safety online.

The signup process is very easy to follow, there was no confusion on my end at all…this is a big statement considering since I have been sick I am always confused!  So, if I can manage it, so can you!

You can sign your kids up for their own free account by clicking here and entering YSMC-0002 in the referral box.

Finally, Safe Social Media For Kids and Teens!

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

Morgan has bugged me atleast once a week for the last year to have a Facebook page.  My answer each time?  “ehhhh, let me think about that….uh No!“  In my opinion Facebook is no place for a kid.  You may have a different opinion, but with all the apps and things I have seen on there…no way is my kid having a Facebook page.

So this went on for like I said…the entire past year.  Recently though, she isn’t asking anymore!  Because now she belongs to a community that is safe for her.  What is this safe haven for teens you ask?  It’s called YourSphere and I am happy to announce that I am a Yoursphere Test Drive Mom for the next three months (May-July).

resized_ys_logo_lrgI’ll be filling you in on a lot of information about YourSphere as I check it out with Morgan.  I would like to have you sign yourself and kids up for a free YourSphere account as well!  You have access to the account with your own parent dashboard.  You can monitor everything easily!

When signing up please add our referral code YSMC-0002 so we can see how many of our bloggy friends join!  You can sign up by clicking here!

Saturday, November 7th, 2009

This giveaway has closed! The winners were comments #35, 41 and 42!

Immaturity_Vol2

I’m an adult, I’m supposed to be mature and all that yackity yack.  For the most part I am, but this book has been so much fun! We still have so much to try though….hee hee hee…..

The Encyclopedia of Immaturity has been such a hit that Klutz is following up with a second book! The Encyclopedia of Immaturity Volume 2 includes thought-provoking topics such as how to slide down a banister, what we talk about when we talk about wedgies, how to send a toiletgram, and more. It’s all new and all hopelessly goofy.

The Encyclopedia of Immaturity Volume 2 is jam packed full of fun!  I love KLUTZ!  I am always looking at the books they offer and they always appeal to me.  I am about to be 35!  This book filled with shenanigan’s will keep your kids laughing!

This book happens to be rated for ages 9-99!  Makes me feel a little better about enjoying it so much!  There is this one section in the book that is for photo ops.  Check these out!

I was laughing so hard at these photos!  I need to do them of all of us!  There are so many immature things in this book to do!  Even how to make fake bird poop!  HA!  Click here for a sample page that shows you how to make a fake bird poop mess!

This would be a great gift for anyone!  Hours of enjoyment are found in this great book from KLUTZ!

I have an excellent giveaway for you from KLUTZ!  3 of my readers will receive both volume 1 and 2 of The Encyclopedia of Immaturity!

Christmas Ideas for Older Kids, Tweens!

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

KEEPOUTAs kids get older, shopping gets harder! I mean what do you by tweens?  I was thinking about some ideas and want to share them with you.  As kids get older, their bedrooms become their space.  They want their privacy and they want a cool bedroom.  So I was thinking that a bedroom makeover would be the perfect Christmas gift for a tween.

Some ideas I had would be to purchase awesome new sheets and bed linens.  If your tween likes to change looks often you could purchase a few duvet covers so they can change them out when they tire of one look.  You could purchase a nice down comforter and easily change the look by changing the duvet!

Tweens love to have sleepovers! You could purchase several extra pillows for them to have on hand for friends, or just to toss out on the floor to lounge and read on!  I love getting new pillows, all nice and fluffy!

You can personalize the look of the room even more by purchasing some accessories like lampsDesk lamps, night table lamps, maybe some cool track lighting?  Even decorative night lights.  Storage chests and Magazine holders will make your tweens room a nice living space while providing storage to keep that clutter under control!

If you have some more ideas for gifts for tweens, especially girls, I would love to hear them!
