The truck has served it’s time…it’s time to say good bye and get something newer. Not new, just newer! We try to avoid having any type of car payment. You never know how jobs are going to be, so commiting to a payment is something we try to avoid.
We do check out new car deals, but that is more of we have a dream sort of thing. Maybe if the economy was better, or work was steady. I would love to have him get a new truck. He deserves it.
Used cars have always been fine for us though. We have found some fantastic deals and have saved a lot of money. You can always read the used car reviews to make sure that you are making a wise investment in the choice you make.
We once bought a Jeep Cherokee used for about $750. We drove that jeep for years! It was an excellent choice in a used vehicle. Of course it wasn’t all that pretty. What once had been red had faded into a nice fuchsia. But hey, for $750 it sure was solid!
We also got a great deal on Jeremy’s truck and he has driven that thing for awhile and driven it a lot! My Suburban was another used purchase. Now yes, my Suburban is broken down right now, but it is just normal wear and tear and just needs to be fixed. Nothing major.
