Natural Inflammation Relief!

Whenever I hear about something that could help me and it’s natural I do a little happy dance and hope it helps me. Even if just a little bit. Today I heard about natural inflammation relief from Trivita.

Part of my condition is inflammation. You can see it when you look at me. I think the inflammation in turn makes the pain worse. You can see my veins bulging in my arms and thighs…even on my chest. I looks like a 3d road map!

Nopalea is a wellness drink made from the fruit produced by the Nopal cactus (Opuntia Ficus Indica). You can get it in a 32–ounce bottle. What it does is help the body neutralize the inner toxins and in turn helps reduce the inflammation. The rare and potent antioxidants are scientifically proven to help the body reduce inflammation.

Amazon Rain Review and Giveaway, Deeper Than Beauty!

I get to test out a lot of skin care items. So far I have found a lot of great ones, but one thing that happens with me is when I use something for too long it quits working as well. I have found that alternating a few products works well for me. My favorite products are the natural ones. I don’t do well with items that are perfumed, they tend to give me a headache.

Amazon Rain products are free of synthetic chemicals, artificial additives, carcinogenic dyes, and toxic fragrances. Ive been using the products for a few weeks and I am loving the results. Some people will not care for the smell of the products when they first start using them. They smell like the earth, I happen to like it. It lets me know that there is nothing un-natural in there. The smell does not linger, so don’t even begin to worry about that. Just know that by using a product like this you are taking care of your skin by being careful with what you put on it.

The products I have been using are below with a description of each one.

Coral Kids’ Toothpaste Review

I have this weird fear about my kids and toothpaste. I always think they are going to swallow too much of it throughout their childhood. This is why I opt to get safer toothpastes for the girls.

Coral Kids’ Toothpaste is one of those safer alternatives to regular toothpaste. We were able to try it out. It has natural ingredients which is a huge plus. It does not contain fluoride, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), glycerin, preservatives and synthetics commonly found in other toothpastes. These are those things that scare me and can be harmful when our kids swallow them. This toothpaste actually uses Xylitol, essential oils, and natural botanicals with antiseptic, antimicrobial and antioxidant qualities for a natural alternative to protecting teeth.

What we thought…

Well, for me I think it’s great and I would buy for my kids to use because of the natural ingredients and the lack of the scary stuff. The kids however, they didn’t really dig the flavor. They used it, but every time they would complain about the taste. This is what will keep me from actually buying it. If the taste was improved I would gladly purchase this for my girls to use.

Mosquitoes in Texas and a Huge Cutter Insect Repellent Giveaway!

Mosquitoes in Texas are horrible! They are huge too, like Longhorns! We live very close to the lake which makes Mosquitoes an even bigger issue for us. Thing is, we like to be outside a lot. We like to go to the lake, go fishing, camping, etc…all places that the Mosquitoes are the most horrible.

Cutter sent me an amazing basket of goodies, I had no idea there were so many products! Products that make it easy for a family to make the best use of them.

First of all the product I like to use the most is Lemon Eucalyptus Insect Repellent. I love this stuff and so does Morgan. Thing is, my bestie is allergic to Eucalyptus and I had NO idea! I sprayed on my girls and myself in the house (dumb of me) before we went outside. So make sure your friends are not allergic to Eucalyptus! As for me, I love Eucalyptus and actually use the scent in my home a lot, I’m surprised I hadn’t almost killed Jenny before! No, she really didn’t almost die, but it made her cough a lot. I’ll just use it when she isn’t over haha!

The Natural Insect Repellent is actually a product I had used earlier this summer. My mother had it when they were here camping with us. She has asthma and uses this spray instead of any others. It doesn’t seem to bother her like the other kids do. We used it on all the kids and this would have to be my next fave after the Eucalyptus.

Recently I went camping with my girls on an American Heritage Girls campout. We took Insect Repellent Ultra Light Aerosol, All Family® Mosquito Wipes and the Natural Insect Repellent that I spoke of above. The All Family® Mosquito Wipes were great for using with Emma, she’s the youngest girl. It made it easier to apply on my little wiggle worm! Lauren liked using the Repellent Ultra Light Aerosol, she said it was easy for her to do on her own (She’s 7!). In the photo below is our friend Olivia, the girls were up late telling scary stories! Bug spray was a must!

Out on the boat is where we keep the Backwoods Cutter® Insect Repellent Aerosol! This is the Mack Daddy! Keeps away the biggest and the baddest! Jeremy fishes tournaments and this is a must have! Especially for all night tournaments!

These are great for keeping things in check! I have to be honest and say that the Mosquitoes have not been as bad this year due to this horrible drought, but they are still out there…waiting… Those suckers always zone right in on me too!

It does not just fight the skeeters, but also other annoying pests! Ants are terrible about trying to get in to our home. They want our water! Our New Favorite Friends!

Thanks to Rosie Hippo and Buzz Mommy, my little ones now have two new best friends! I am truly in love with these little critters just as much as Lauren and Emma are!

I love real toys. I’m not a big fan of today’s toys. I like toys that encourage imagination and real play. I think imagination is something that needs to be fed. Toys that are electronic or digital can not meet those needs the way a real toy can.

My Experience With Mineral Makeup

I’m 34 1/2 years old and I had never tried Mineral Makeup. I’m pretty much a makeup idiot. Seriously, I wear foundation, Powder, Lipstick, Eyeliner and very very rarely Mascara. I set out fresh from the shower to give this mineral makeup a try and wow, I’m impressed! It felt like I had nothing on. I didn’t feel dirty, clogged or cakey like I do when I put on traditional makeup. It was truly a complete difference. It stayed on and I did not have the feeling it was sliding off of my face.

This stuff is so clean and fresh feeling and I truly think I will continue using only mineral makeup! The humidity control is perfect for me! Living in Texas it can get so humid! It sets your makeup and helps keep your makeup fresh! Everything I put on from the kit, stayed on! There was an informational pamphlet included that guided me through step by step on applying the Mineral Makeup. I’m sold!

Totally Texty Rocks!

First off, right away she was in love because it is made for her! It’s not for babies and it is not for adults, it is for her age and that was very important. I don’t think I have seen a product like this before. Things like that make kids feel special.

First thing I did when it came was to open each bottle and smell it. Yes, I am that weirdo you see in the different departments of the store smelling things. Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Lotion, Dish Soap, Laundry Detergent, Fabric softener….you name it…and I’m smelling it. This stuff smells great!
