For the last few weeks Morgan has been putting Proactiv 365 to the test!  She breaks out around her hairline the most (all those hair products!) and then (during those special lady times  though out the month) she will break out on her forehead, chin, nose, etc.  Her acne wasn’t like pizza face, but it did definitely bug her.  She had wanted to try Proactive 365 for a long time.  When this opportunity came along we were on board!

For the first week Morgan followed the instructions and used it twice a day.  She said it burned a little, but I think that is to be expected.  She is now using it once a day and is proud of her skin.  She hasn’t had any major breakouts, just a random pimple here and there.  She says the routine is very simple and doesn’t take too much time.

Overall Morgan is extremely happy with the results and I think she feels better with her breakouts under control.   She really loves the Refining Mask, which comes as a bonus with the 3 step system.  I do believe we will be continuing on with the products.

I think it’s pretty awesome that they offer on call expert skin care advisers!  If Morgan has a question she can ask them and know she has the right answers!

I watched a pretty awesome movie earlier today.  We hear a lot about bullying in school and it’s scary.  It’s scary how mean kids have become.  I mean, I know bullying has been around for ever, but things have gotten so much worse.  Very few kids have values and try to do the right thing. We have been talking a lot about recycling in our home with the kids.  Trying to find a re-use for everything.  Lately we have been focusing on magazines.  Awhile back I vowed to not buy anymore magazines.  But I still had piles of them.  I almost threw them away until I had a brain spark (rare with me these days) and realized these were craft materials!  So I saved the magazines.  We made some paper bead jewelry, modge podged plaques and other crafty goodness. So, I’m going to be 37 this year and I’ve started to wonder a bit about Menopause.  Last year when I had the tumor is when I really started thinking about it.

Losing an Ovary and Fallopian Tube had some huge hormonal effects on my body.  The biggest one being Hot Flashes.  Holy cow are those things miserable!  I was getting them like crazy and then they subsided a little.  I still have bouts with them and I wonder if this is the beginning of Menopause. With all the funk we get faced with on any given day, you can be sure that I have hand sanitizer on me at all times!  I’ve tried a lot of different kinds and they are all pretty much the same.  Very wet, strong alcohol smell, burns small cuts on your hands, takes forever to dry…I’m sure you know what I mean!

Well VERIPUR is totally unique when compared to the hand sanitizers I have used. I’m excited for my friend Janna to know about it (Baby Darby’s Mama), since hand sanitizer has become a big part in their life’s.  It’s just part of the routine and I think that she would appreciate the differences in this hand sanitizer. When you think of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda you most likely think about cleaning or making your refrigerator smell better.  I know I did, until recently that is.

I have always used Arm & Hammer Baking Soda to strip hair product build up off of my hair though.  I actually took a cosmetology class in Jr. High.  It was a special class held after school.  I remember they taught us you could combine Shampoo and baking soda together and use it to strip off all that Aqua-net All-Weather Hairspray that we all used to use back then.  It would pull off all those clumps of hairspray so you could start all over again. Some of you know my husband in person, some of you just read about him online and know that he is a musician.  Music (besides family of course) is his life!  You would think someone like him would already have an MP3 player right?  Thing is, he’s tech challenged.  He thinks I’m a nerd.

I like the gadgets.  I’m really not all that technical, I just like cool stuff.  So when I received the SanDisk Sansa Fuze MP3 Player I knew right away this would be perfect for Jeremy to test out.  He kept bugging me about helping him figure it out and I kept saying figure it out yourself, within minutes he had.  I knew he would! We all know that October is Breast Cancer awareness month.  A lot of products will show support by giving back and adding the color pink to products and packaging to help raise more awareness.

Dannon is one of those brands.  They actually have quite an involvement!  They not only raise money, but they also help increase awareness about breast cancer. Did you know that it affects more than 290,000 women every year? Read More→

Know Magazine is a Science Magazine for kids ages 6 to 9 years old.  I don’t know about your kids, but my kids and most kids that I know love science!  There really isn’t anything boring about science.  There is always something to learn and ohhhhh the experiments!  We love experiments!

My girls love anything that is hands on…learning from a text book is boring.  I don’t blame them for not liking text books.  Give them something interesting and the learning just happens! Read More→

I’ve mentioned before I am not a baker.  Morgan is the baker of the family.  She makes beautiful breads, cakes and pies.  I ruin those things.  I forget about them and over cook them.  Baking is not my thing.

I sure do love a tasty pie though.

I just realized that Banquet made fruit pies.  I had no idea!

When I think of Banquet I think of hanging out at my grandmas eating a Turkey or Salisbury Steak T.V. Dinner.  Banquet has come a long way since those days and remains a freezer staple in most American homes.

The Fruit Pies resemble their traditional Pot Pies.  They are perfectly sized individual pies.  We picked up some of these a few days ago.  We picked Apple and Peach.  I tried a little of both and was pleasantly surprised!  The Apple was awesome!  I love Apple pie!  The Peach was pretty darn tasty too and was lil Miss. Emma’s favorite.

As with the pot pies, you can either bake them in the oven or the microwave.  Well, since this is Texas and it is so hot I am not turning my oven on unless I absolutely have too.  I mentioned a few months ago that I did not own a microwave.  We have since broke down and bought one.  I realized this summer that we really did need to have one.  The heat caused by the oven was just too much and left overs were being wasted…so to make better use of what we have I broke down and gave in.  So yea, we prepared ours in the microwave and they were still super yummy!  I do think that oven preparation would make them even better though!

This is something that I think I will keep in my freezer for special nights and those cravings that tend to hit at the oddest hours.  I recommend you giving them a try.  The price is right for these little pies!

We always have Eggo waffles in our freezer, I prefer Blueberry!  Perfect for quick morning breakfast that doesn’t come in a bowl.  I had never heard of the Eggo Real Fruit Pizzas until recently when Mom Central asked me if I would like to give them a try.  Of course I wanted to try them!

We prepared ours as a mid-day snack.  You can prepare them in the microwave, but I don’t use one so we made them in the oven.  Even in the oven it was quick.

Oven cooking time is only 5-7 min.  Ours was ready in 5!  I made both and used a pizza cutter to cut each one into 8 mini slices.  This gave all of us girls 4 mini slices each.

They are topped with real fruit and crunchy toasted granola.  They come in two flavors right now which are Mixed Berry Granola and Strawberry Granola.  My favorite was the Mixed Berry Granola, but it was a close tie!  They both were pretty tasty!

Overall preparation was easy, taste was yummy and most importantly…it was a hit with the kids!  Kids love pizza, so of course they would love pizza that they can have for breakfast!

We are still exploring and loving Yoursphere.   If you have not signed your kids up yet, I really wish you would check it out!  I see so many young kids on Facebook and Yoursphere is a much safer, suitable online community and social network for your kids.

You can sign your kids up for their own free account by clicking here and entering YSMC-0002 in the referral box.

OurWorld is another awesome feature on Yoursphere.  In Our World you can create your own avatar.  The skin color, face shape, eyes, hair and clothing!  Morgan had a great time designing her avatar.  Once you have your avatar designed you can check out the many game choices they have.  Morgan has a few favorites.  I’ve listed her favorites below:

  • Cake Mania 2
  • Create a mall
  • Jane’s Hotel
  • Ultimate Leprechauns

While playing the games you can earn coins and flow.  The coins can be used to purchase items for your avatar such as…

  • Clothes
  • Condo Decor
  • Cars
  • Hair
  • Skateboards

Flow can be used to level up, spin the prize wheel and win the daily jackpot.

Overall, Morgan enjoys spending time in OurWorld and would really like some of her friends to join her on Yoursphere!  Remember, it is FREE and you as a parent have access to your parent dashboard to be sure that your child is being safe online.

I love Pringles! They are my all time favorite brand of potato chips.  I especially love them now that they have Dill flavored chips, ohhh yea!!!  Anything pickle flavored makes me giddy!

So anyhow, Pringles has Multigrain Crisps now!  They come in three awesome flavors!  Truly Original, which is just like the regular Pringles you have always enjoyed , but with a multigrain twist!  There is a Creamy Ranch that my girls absolutely loved and then my favorite was the Cheesy Cheddar.

The Multigrain Crisps have more crunch to them than other chips that I have had.  I have to say that I enjoy them more than traditional Pringles and other chips.  They just need to make a Multigrain Dill one now!  Mmmmmm, crunchy multigrain pickle flavored crisps!  What do you say Pringles?  Think you could hook this girl up?

Pringles is doing some great work with charity right now with your help!

three_tastyNew Pringles® Multigrain and Share Our Strength® have teamed up, making it easy to make a difference. For every UPC (12-digit number on can) entered, Pringles Multigrain will make a $1* donation to the Share Our Strength® No Kid Hungry campaign.

Share Our Strength is a national organization that seeks to make sure no child in America grows up hungry. Through fund-raising events, education programming, and corporate and state partnerships, Share Our Strength works hard to do more than just raise awareness of childhood hunger-they work hard to end it. Visit www.strength.org to learn more and find out how you can get involved.

If you are looking to add in more multigrain foods and snacks, you definitely will want to try out these crisps.  There are some recipes on the site as well that look pretty darn tasty!
