medical bills :: Not So Average Mama

Yep, you read that right, No more favors, no more just “tip me”, no more quick fixes. From now on anyone that needs graphics, WP help or anything…I will be paid in advance. There are several people out there that owe me for work that I have done. Some of them even owe me for last year.

I have done so many free favors just because I was being nice. No more…my nice button got pushed one too many times and it broke.

I’m messaged daily for help and I always feel it’s good karma to help out those that need it. Instead I feel like I have been taken advantage of and it will not happen anymore. This is how I make a living these days…blogging, graphics and wordpress. I am sick. REALLY SICK. All of this money is going towards my medical care. I’m not going to waste my time anymore only to be taken advantage of.

Countless times I have stopped what I am doing to help people out. The only time these people contact me is when they need something from me. Not to ask me how I am doing, they just need a skill that I have…so they message me. Then I don’t hear from them again until they want more from me.

That really hurts. It hurts to feel used. I’m done.

For most of you reading this, you are probably thinking what got into her…Stress is pumping through my veins. Fear of how much my medical care is going to cost. Anger at the realization that I have been repeatedly used by people.

For most of you this is in no way directed at you. So many of you have been extremely supportive of me and I thank you all so much for that. It means a lot! Please don’t read this and think I am being ugly and mean. I just needed to vent it out and get some things off my chest.

Simon was born at 24 weeks gestation. He has had a long difficult road in his lifetime. Simon is now 18 months old. He is now fighting for his life. Simons was diagnosed with RSV January 23rd and has been on a ventilator since then. Struggling, but fighting to come back to his family that loves him so much.

Simon’s mom, Mysti, was told by the doctors last night, ” There is not much more we can do…”. No mother should ever hear those words.

Simon is at Children’s Hospital in Aurora(Denver). His family followed him there(from their home in Cheyenne) as soon as he was flown in Flight for Life. His family not only needs our prayers for little Simon, but they could use our help with donations. As you can imagine, not only is it costing them the gas of driving back and forth to the hospital, but the food and the time they are out of work to be with their son, but the medical bills that will soon follow.

We are asking if you are able to please, help by making a donation to Simon and his family in this time of need. Even if you can only spare a $1.00, every little bit will help.
