Whenever I give a gift I look for something unique, or I make something.  I found some amazing unique gifts at NOVICA.  They carry a huge selection of items.  From home decor, corporate gifts, jewelry, etc!

I recently had a chance to shop there to check out some of the products.  I never ever ever buy myself jewelry!  So that is where I chose to spend my giftcard.

I found a ton of gorgeous rings and necklaces and it was so hard to choose!

This jewelry is from all over the world!  You see, NOVICA works with National Geographic to give talented artisans around the world a place to express their artistic talents and provide access to the world market.  I picked out a very pretty ring and necklace.  The photograph below was taken by me.

Pretty right?  It was so hard to choose.  I wanted so many things.  I know that next time I am looking for a unique gift this is where I am heading first.  Since most of it is hand made by artists you know you are getting something special!

I also need to mention that the shipping was very quick considering these came from other countries.  Seemed like it was only days before I received them and they were packaged in cute little gift boxes that included information about the artist that created the pieces.

I was provided a giftcard from NOVICA to purchase the items pictured above to facilitate my review.  No compensation was received.

Morgan is way more girlier than I ever was.  She loves make up and is really good at it, me…not so good.  She fixes her hair every day, me…maybe once a month.  She likes jewelry!  She likes it so much that I think she should try making her own.  I think she would be pretty good at it.

I found some pandora style beads that she would really like.  This would probably be a good hobby for her and I am putting jewelery making supplies on my Christmas Shopping list.  She could probably even start herself a little business doing it.  She could make necklaces, bracelets, earrings and even rings!  My friend Jessica just started making rings with vintage buttons, so cute.

I don’t think it would be too expensive to get her set up.  Maybe I could find some of the supplies used.  I know a lot of people go all out buying tons of supplies because they have an interest in something and then those supplies get shoved in a closet and never used again.  I think this would be really fun for her.

What do you think?  Have you ever made jewelry?  Do you think it is too expensive to get into?
