Xpress Redi-Set-Go Electric Cooker

Redi Set Go_125x125You may have seen this little red contraption on the television.  People raving about how wonderful and easy it is.  You may have had your doubts, I did.  I am happy to report that this little thing really pulls it off!

It’s fast, easy to use, easy to clean and little! The first thing I made in it was pancakes.  The biggest, fluffiest pancakes ever!  Seriously, my pancakes were so fatSo fat!  I made some awesome eggs that were fluffy and the kiddos devoured them.

The Xpress Redi-Set-Go Electric Cooker is great for my daughter who loves to cook.  She has made “donut holes” in it several times.  It is so easy for her to use .  I love that you can cook the foods without adding extra fat to cook them.  This makes for healthier cooking.

Donut holesThis would be a great gift for someone on your list this year! We have even made personal pizzas in the Xpress Redi-Set-Go Electric Cooker!  I made the pizza dough recipe that comes in the cookbook in our breadmaker.  I then divided it up into portion sizes balls and kept them in the refrigerator ready to go!  When I was ready to make a pizza I just flattened it out, placed in the cooker, topped with sauce, cheese and toppings.  In 7 min I had an awesome little pizza!Pizza in Ready Set Go Cooker

We were sent the Xpress Redi-Set-Go Electric Cooker to review on Not So Average Mama.  No monetary compensation was recieved and all opinions are my own.

Ever Had Rice Vinegar?

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

I think I may need to add a food section to my site.   In fact I just took photos step by step of some yumminess tonight to be posted with a recipe tomorrow.  I’m always on the lookout for new recipes to try out with the family.  Morgan loves to cook so we do a lot of it here!

Tonight I joined the SPLASH Recipe Club.  Right now you can  find a $1.00 off coupon on the website for any bottle of NAKANO Seasoned Rice Vinegar.  I think we will give it a try.  We are always looking for new products to enjoy and love to get them at a bargain price.

As you have read in previous posts, I am trying to be more healthy in my food choices. I noticed that the NAKANO Seasoned Rice Vinegar is all natural, fat free, low in calories (only 20 calories per tablespoon), gluten free and also has 50% less sodium than other rice vinegar brands.

They make it from whole grain rice and naturally brew it in a traditional manufacturing process that began in Japan more than 200 years ago.

NAKANO Seasoned Rice Vinegars are available several flavors!

  • Original Seasoned
  • Roasted Garlic
  • Basil & Oregano
  • Red Pepper
  • Balsamic Blend
  • Italian Herb.

With all of these fantastic flavors you could use it as a condiment in place of other things such as salad dressing, sour cream or butter. It could be used on salads, pasta, hot vegetables and cut out the fat of those other condiments.

Healthier Cooking

Monday, January 5th, 2009

I love my George Foreman Grill. My mom and dad got it for me a few years back and we use it quite often. Watching the thick sludge of fat draining off the food being cooked makes for healthy grilling.

There is so much you can make on a George Foreman grill. Cooking frozen hamburger patties is quick and easy. Steaks, Chicken….you name it! It’s super simple to use and easy to clean. I don’t know how I made it all those years before.

Sure grilling outdoors is always best, but when you have bad weather or not a lot of time you can just pull that baby out and plug it in for some great easy grilling. What sorts of things do you use your George Foreman Grill for?
