Just have a couple of pictures I wanted to share from the last few days.
Saturday our friends from California were in town. They are in the band Hammerlock and were here to record a new album. They were totally tied up in the studio the whole weekend, so J and I went over there to hang out and watch. I got an awesome sneak peek of the new album and it rocks! This photo over here to the left is Liza laying down some bass tracks.
It totally sucks that they won’t just live in Texas so Liza and I can have our garden! Dang you Travis! So even though we didn’t get to hang out and talk too much it was great to be able to spend a little time with them. Great people for sure! Until next time…..
This other picture is Sunday night. The lil ones wanted to lay in Morgans big bed to watch a movie…they crashed out almost immediately and this is how I found them. Totally best friends! I love how Lauren is cuddled up and Emma has her arm around her. I have so many pictures since Emma was born of them being so loving to each other. I think we timed the space just right with these two.
Lastly….some yummy goodness that Morgan and I made last night as part of my Raw Fu Challenge This is 1 Avocado smashed with fork, 1 Roma Tomato diced, a few sprigs of Fresh Dill chopped, Garlic minced and Sea Salt. Served with Green peppers….it was so freaking good….dang I think I may need to hurry and get this posted and make more! Inspiration for adding the dill from Living the Fruity Life. 
Remember the changes I mentioned? Well they are happening now, as you can probably tell. Things look a bit different around here, new name even! Other things are finally coming together as well. You can go take a look at how the website is coming together: Stitchblade Designs. Still working on it, but its definitely coming together!

Some of you that have been reading for awhile know that our friend BC committed suicide back in July. He was our friend and the bass player for HIT & RUN. It took them a very long time to find someone who could take on his spot in the band. After searching for MANY months they have found that person. Mark from Mitra and Pumping Ethyl has joined them on bass. They are coming back full force playing a show with AGNOSTIC FRONT at Lola’s Saloon in Fort Worth, TX on February 14th. Yea, I guess you know what my Valentines Day plans are haha, maybe they will play me a love song?
For those of you out there that are just hearing about this tribute concert; let me bring you up to speed……
Saturday, August 30th @ Lonestar Country Club in Coppell, 10 bands, a legion of friends, supporters and music lovers will gather for a full night event to remember and honor the legacy of the late Ben Cooksey who passed away July, 4th 2008. Ben was an accomplished musician who played in several great bands such as Roller, RPB, and Hit & Run. Ben was also part owner of Lone Star Tattoo with his brother, Scott Cooksey.
Ben was a true friend to those who were fortunate enough to have him in thier lives. He was a great son, an awesome uncle and a trusted brother. He was truly one of those guys that would give his shirt off his back if need be.
The concerts proceeds are going toward a monument that will landmark Bens presence in this world. We are encouraging everyone to reach out and support this event.
Even if you didnt know Ben we are inviting you to join us to experience an unforgettable night!
We have 10 bands that are ready to rock and that’s what these guys do best!! This is a powerhouse line-up that will guarantee to host one hellacious party….BC STYLE!!
