REAL STEEL Out Today! Review, Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack Giveaway!

So excited to let you know that today REAL STEEL has been released on Blu-ray and DVD! My family loved this movie! We’ve watched it several times already.

Hugh Jackman is one of my favorite actors! I love Wolverine! In this movie he plays a character named Charlie Kenton that is really “hard” acting…really only seeming to care for himself. He does some shady things in the beginning of the movie. I don’t want to talk too much about it. I hate when people give away too much info on a movie!

Dakota Goyo was chosen from thousands of 10-year-old boys for the role of Max. His character is a tough smart mouthed lovable boy. I did let my girls watch the movie, but I will warn you that some of the language used by the boy is really not appropriate. But it’s what makes his character. He has a tough exterior just like his dad…both which eventually gets cracked from caring for each other.

Real Steel is set in the near future, where robots have replaced boxers in the ring, and is directed by Shawn Levy (“Night at the Museum,” “Date Night”). It is totally action packed and fun! Definitely one of the best movies I have seen in a long time.

Orchid Face Products, Review and Giveaway! #hebbeauty

Woohoo for another year as an H-E-B Beauty Blogger! I love blogging for H-E-B and sharing these great beauty products with you through reviews and giveaway. I love testing out new skincare, because as I age my skins is changing constantly!

I am super impressed with the Orchid Face Products! I also love the brightly colored packaging as well. I was so surprised when I opened up the package to find they had presented the products so nicely. I felt like it was Christmas all over again!

Once I opened it, I was doing the happy dance over the goodies inside!

So what’s all in there?

First I pulled out the Anti-Aging Eye Roller. It is used to reduce puffiness around the eyes as well as fine lines and wrinkles. I’m a puffy eyed girl on most days.

It feels nice and soothing. But, I’m not sure if I notice a difference. Maybe with everyday use over a period of time I would notice more of a change?

Firming Lift Face Serum

This stuff makes my heart go pitter patter. I love it. I am definitely sold on Face Serum’s and this one is at the top of the list! Makes my skin feel younger. That’s a good thing when you feel like you are trapped in the body of an 80 year old!

Acne Spot Treatment

I was able to truly put this to the test. Every month I get a visit from this hormone monster that wrecks havoc on my face. I look like a pizza faced teenager and I don’t care for that look at my age. It’s not cool at all. NOT cool. I like to be cool. I used it and it really helped reign the zit monster in! I used it as soon as I noticed one trying to bust through and it works!

Thermal Clay Mask

This is definitely the winner of the bunch! Something that feels like a treat! As my RSD progress’s I am feeling it in all parts of my body. Including my neck and face and it sucks. Heat is one of the only things that gives me a little bit of relief. This mask get’s warm immediately! I use it in the shower and I love that warming feeling all over my face and neck. It makes my skin feel nice and clean as well as soft! This is something I can see me continuing to use for a long time. In the past I didn’t really care for masks. They were always a pain to remove. Residue getting in my hair and stuff. This rinses off so easily!

The Chevy Equinox, Gas Card Giveaway!

When they told me they were bringing me a Chevy Equinox, I have to honestly admit I had no idea what they were talking about. I love Chevy, but didn’t know too much about the new cars. I drive a Chevy Suburban. Chevy rocks!

It had been so long since I had been in a new car that I really was a tad bit overwhelmed and speechless. It was like I had traveled to the future! I was so behind the times on car gadgetry, that most of the things I seen in the car I thought were things of the future. I seriously had no idea! Maybe I’m just car ignorant, I accept that.

The dashboard was something that seriously had me over joyed. I could do anything from this car. I felt powerful…ok, maybe I am being a bit over the top. But seriously, I loved the car.

I figured it would be best just to show you some of the photos I took. I think they are all pretty self explanatory! This dash rocks my socks! So much info here!

The Equinox is one of the many great vehicles Chevy has to offer, such as their new Chevy Cruze, which gets up to 42 miles per gallon

Have you seen the new cereal from General Mills? It’s called Frosted Toast Crunch and is one of our new favorites. If you love vanilla you will surely like this.

Frosted Toast Crunch has the great taste of frosted vanilla and dusted with cinnamon. It has 11 grams of whole grain, 9 grams of sugar and is a good source of calcium. It’s a good choice to start off your day.

My girls like it a lot and the box sure didn’t last long here in our house. We should be able to find it in stores now, if not now then very soon.

Brewing up the Perfect Celebration, Eight O’Clock Coffee Giveaway!

1. Be your own ‘brewista’. Create a coffee house vibe and offer guests tasty toppings like cinnamon, cocoa, nutmeg, ginger and flavored creamers.

2. Coffee can be enjoyed any time. Break tradition – hosts don’t have to wait until the end of the meal to begin brewing. Welcome guests to a warm, cozy home filled with the fragrant aroma of coffee. Visitors won’t be able to resist a cup the minute they remove their coats.

3. Create delicious dessert dishes using coffee ingredients. Create chocolate and coffee-flavored cupcakes, a coffee crumb bunt cake or a batch of coffee brownies and perfectly pair with a cup of your favorite coffee.

4. Coffee to go. Stock up on holiday-themed to go cups with lids and send guests home with a fresh cup of Eight O’Clock Coffee for the road – a must for visitors with a long ride ahead.

5. Don’t forget the decaffeinated. Make sure you have options – be prepared for caffeine-conscious guests.

The Best Light Display in Our Area as Viewed from the Chevy Equinox! Gas Card Giveaway!

Let me start this by telling you that I am a huge Chevy fan! Over the last few days I had the pleasure of cruising around town in the Chevy Equinox! I was so sad to see it go…broke my heart.

I’m going to do a separate post telling you all about the car with yet another gift card giveaway! I have a lot of photos to share and it would have been way too much for one post.

In this post I want to show you the beautiful light displays that we found. Finding our way around in the dark was super easy with the built in navigation system! This was so fantastic for me! I could even just have a map up instead of GPS since most of the time we didn’t have an address we were headed to. It kept us from being lost in huge neighborhoods!

The heated seats kept me toasty warm. This was probably one of the biggest things I loved. That heat in the seats helped my RSD pain a lot. Getting out and getting cold hurts my body so badly and this was wonderful!

So we tuned the Satellite radio to Christmas Music and we hit the road.

I thought this tree was so pretty! I love how they went all the way up instead of just doing the trunk.

I also loved this fun display! What a cool car!

The best display we found I had to capture in video! The girls went nuts over this and we stayed for several minutes taking it all in.

Brilliant right? Now, I promised the homeowner I would not publicize the location. But I can link to the website where you can email him to see about seeing it for yourself.

Last but not least….only in Texas!

I drove all over the place in the Chevy Equinox and never once had to put more gas in it! I drove just to drive! No destination in mind.

I took every excuse I could find to get in it and on the road. It gets an estimated 32 MPG highway! With a highway driving range of up to 600 miles, The Chevy Equinox beats Honda CR–V, Toyota RAV4 and even Ford Escape Hybrid4. The Equinox is only one of the many great vehicles Chevy has to offer, the new Chevy Cruze gets up to 42 miles per gallon! I hope to be able to take that one for a drive soon!

As a parent I love the Barbie movies for my children because of the positive lessons that are enforced through out the movies. Barbie always makes the best of any situation that she may find herself in…that is what we try to teach our kids by example at our house.

Nescafe Peppermint Mocha, Oh My! Giveaway!

I have to be honest and tell you that I am not normally a fan of instant coffee. It has to be REALLY good for me to call it coffee. Let me tell you….oh my…this stuff is…Spectacular! Amazing! Delicious! It is the B.O.M.B and I don’t even use that term.

Oh, I even had some with mini marshmallows the other night!
