Archive for girls

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.  I really want to do something different for my girls this year and tonight it hit me!  This year for Valentines Day I should totally get the girls flowers!  Gifts for her, what does that make you think of?

Flowers!  Yes, imagine the look some precious little girls will have on their faces if they had their own Valentine’s Day bouquets!  Daddy always get’s them chocolate hearts it’s tradition, maybe it’s time to start a new tradition of Valentine’s Day flowers from Mama!

I know they would just love to have something pretty like this to enjoy.  I know I always love to get flowers!   I’ve been browsing around looking at images of different things available.  I’m thinking something bright and cheery, similar to this image below.

Birthday gifts are something I’ll have to start shopping for soon as well.  All 3 of the girls birthdays are so close together.  Maybe I will get them flowers to give them on their birthday as well.  I think it would be awesome to get something like a potted orchid that they can keep.

What are some of the ways you make your girls feel special on Valentine’s Day?

Seriously, that is what the girls asked me today when we were outside playing.  ”Mom, can we please play in the sprinkler?” Just look at these faces!

Lauren says PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSE!!!!!

Then she tries to plead her case on why they should be able to play in the sprinkler…The kid was totally trying to con me…

Lauren pleading her case

Then Emma gave me the look as she quickly turned her head, as if I was being so unreasonable!  Come on!
The look...geesh!

Then came the fake pouts from both of them!  They were trying really hard.  Sorry kids…No Sprinkler!  It’s almost Christmas!!

Better luck next time girls…

The main thing Lauren wanted for Christmas this year was a doll.  Not just any doll, she wanted a special red haired doll that looked like a girl…not a baby. We found the doll! She is from the Götz Doll Collection on the Pottery Barn Kids website. Her name is Megan, isn’t she pretty?

Megan is stashed away in my closet right now.  Lauren has no idea that she is here.  This will be the gift she flips out over on Christmas day! I’m going to try to get some matching outfits for her and her new friend Megan.  I may even sew them up some aprons to wear.  Be watching for photos with Megan to come in the future!

Megan isn’t the only beautiful doll!  Check out the selection!

These collectible dolls have been made exclusively for Pottery Barn Kids by Gotz. It’s so cool that the doll manufacturer’s roots go all the way back to a small village of Rödental in Bavaria, Germany that has been making dolls since 1950!

  • 18″ high
  • Long hair that can be washed, styled and brushed.
  • Faces have blushed cheeks, life-like eyelashes and eyes that close.
  • The dolls’ arms and legs can be moved up and down.
  • Each doll comes with a blouse, sweater, jeans, shoes and purse (as shown).
  • Choose from Ashleigh Doll (blonde), Marianne Doll (brunette), Megan Doll (red hair) or Maya Doll (black hair).
  • Doll outfits available (sold separately).
  • Ages 3 and up.

It’s not to late to get this special gift for your own child!  The dolls are delivered within 5 to 7 days of your order!  Normally they sell for $89, but are on sale right now for only $71!  This is a great deal considering how well they are made!  Washable hair that can be styled and brushed!

I received the Megan Doll as a gift for my help in spreading the word about these fantastic dolls.  No compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

Winner is comment #56!

Layla EmmaCheck out this gorgeous headband Emma got from Tiny Star Couture.  This one is called the Layla.  She was working it for the camera, working it so hard that most of the shots were blurry.  She has the poses down to a mastered skill…it’s just the pause she forgets!  She’ll get it soon!

Anyhow, this headband is functional!  I like functional.  I have gotten the girls so many pretty things but when it comes to function, they usually fail.  This headband PASSED with flying colors. It actually stayed in place on her, which is a task.  The kid is wild!  It did not slip even once!  They come in both Infant and Toddler sizes.layla

Tiny Star Couture has pretty much anything girlie you would need for your daughter.  They have headbands, clippies, jewelery, hats and princess wear.  You’re sure to find something you love at this shop!

The tutu’s are so pretty!  They are decorated with small pink ribbon flowers floating along the front and back of the tutu. The ribbon flowers are hand sewn on to the tutu.

Tiny Star Couture would love to give one of my readers a headband of their own! The winner can select any headband from the site!dscf4358
