I Sent Katie International Delight Iced Coffee! #IcedCoffee #CBias

Now she loves me….well I think she already thought I was pretty cool, but now she thinks I am the coolest ever! I am such a butt kisser like that. So even though I may not have a ton of friends, with the fact that I have secured Katie’s friendship with coffee, I think I will be just fine.

I told you all about International Delight Iced Coffee not long ago. If you missed it you can read it here.

So why did I pick Katie? I picked Katie because I think she is an awesome chick that has had a rough few months. Everyone loves surprises in the mail! I met Katie in Florida and clicked with her immediately! We have been friends for over a year now and I really wish she lived closer to me.

I did not tell Katie what she was getting, well not exactly. I kept bugging her about whether or not she had received any unsolicited packages in the mail or not. I finally told her that something was coming and that it was coffee related.

It was so nice to be able to have a surprise like that sent to her! Now she can sit outside with her kids and dogs while relaxing with her International Delight Iced Coffee. Seriously, she does that…look!

Wordless Wednesday! A Special Request!

My friend Reece has his second heart attack 2 days before Christmas. He has a wife and 2 young children. I have set up a facebook page and a website where I will be hosting an auction to help the family out. Reece has no insurance and is currently on life support and he needs a heart transplant. His job was the sole income of this family.

The auction will have a lot of services that are based in DFW as well as items that can be mailed. So please take a moment and fan the facebook page just in case you see something you would be interested in bidding on.

When Do You Send Flowers?

When I was in the hospital they came in to tell me I had a flower delivery. I was sent a few flower arrangements. It totally boosted my mood since I was not expecting them at all. They were so pretty and so thoughtful. Some were from individuals…others were from groups. My favorite was an orchid from some ladies from the forums at MomDot.

Sending flowers, a pretty plant or even fruit to someone really gives them a boost! I love the selection at 1800flowers. I was happy to see the awesome fruit selection and I can think of several friends that could use a pick me up of chocolate covered strawberries. YUM! If anyone wants to send me some I can provide you with my address…

Anyhow, I think the next time one of my best pals are in the dumps I am going to send them some pretty plant or chocolate covered strawberries. Maybe some online friend that I barely know. It feels good to know people care. No matter how big or how small the problem, a surprise like this can make it all feel just a little bit better. Just a little bit better sometimes means the world!

Wordless Wednesday

I’ve been extremely busy, still try to catch up on all things I am behind on. This neuro issue is really messing with me. When I can get the headaches to a manageable place I work my butt off until I can not work anymore. I am revamping my photography site and as soon as that is finished I’ll post here and let you all know.

Recently Jenny and I took a trip to Austin for a few days. Just us and the kids. We stayed in a beautiful home in the hills. It was so nice to wake up to a yard full of deer. We went around taking pictures and I should have posted this last Wednesday, but being in the ER the entire day took my wordless Wednesday away. Blah. I missed a wordless Wednesday!

I really love this photo. Lauren is such a good big sister to Emma.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! We are having a Halloween party so I am sure I will have a lot of photos to post from that. Good Friends, Good Food, Good Times! This will be our first real get together at the new house. There are still boxes in the living room that are unpacked….oops. I made my moms super deluxe Asian Coleslaw and am having a hard time not eating it before anyone gets here. I already whipped up a second batch just in case. Kettle is bringing some Jalapeno Dip she makes. Bobby and Janna are bring a bunch of stuff, including cookies that Bobby baked…way to go! Not sure what else is being brought, but I am sure it is going to be a fantastic night. Oh looks like the J-man is home from fishing…sure after I have already gotten everything done. Thanks…thanks!
