Introduce your little one to one of five languages through 77 singable tunes! Kids love listening to familiar melodies and singing along. Give them a chance to sing “The Hokey Pokey” and they’ll do it for hours. Why not let them sing it in Spanish? Or maybe Mandarin Chinese? The “Around the World With Language Stars” music CD has tons of traditional songs, like “The Hokey Pokey” and “Happy Birthday,” in French, German, Italian, Mandarin and Spanish.
The CD, from the Language Stars schools for young children, contains a whopping 77 songs, and you can get it with this deal for only $9 – that’s almost half-off the regular price!
We almost always have a subscription to the National Geographic KidsMagazine. Most recently though, my girls have spent a lot of time of the past few weeks checking out two awesome books from National Geographic Kids.
The Weird But True: 300 Outrageous Facts (National Geographic Kids) is filled with tons of fun facts that kids will enjoy learning and sharing. This is a great reference book for kids.
As with all National Geographic publications, the images are amazing! Some of the greatest photographers are featured in these publications. The talent is great! These photos keep my kids interested, from my 4 year old all the way up to my 12 year old.
The National Geographic Kids Almanac has more than 500 photographs and over 300 pages of detailed information, crafts, games, jokes, and recipes. It has everything kids want to know about everything.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of topfillfeeders.com. All opinions are 100% mine.
Those of you that know me, know that I have a fear of birds…and cats, oh and spider monkeys. Even though these animals give me the creeps to be around, I still like to look at them. The other day I got the best hummingbird feeder in the mail!
I love to look at hummingbirds! They are so different and fun to watch. I was excited to get it all prepared and hung in the Crepe Myrtle in our front yard. This is right outside our front window in our living room. That way the girls and I can watch from inside and not disturb the hummingbirds.
You can get hummingbird feeders starting at $11! That’s a deal considering all the education and entertainment it can provide. I plan on using the hummingbird feeder for educational purposes. Nature first hand is much better than in photos and television.
I love the hummingbird feeder we got! It’s red (my favorite color) and doesn’t look tacky hanging in our tree. It came with a powder to mix to make the nectar to fill the reservoir with. That was really simple to do as well. I just measured out the water and the powder and stirred! Pretty red nectar for the birdies! The top fill on this is great and so easy to do. It’s very wide at the top, so I didn’t have to worry about spilling and wasting. The top just screws off. Easy!
I had the J-man use fishing line to hang it in the tree. You can close it so that it doesn’t leak out when you are hanging it. Then you just pull it down a bit to open.
I’m not sure when the hummingbirds will come, we just had a lot of snow, but it is ready and waiting for them to arrive. I guess I’ll look it up and see when they are usually here.
Be sure to go check out the top-fill challenge. You could when your own hummingbird feeder!

Lauren is 5 now and math has sparked her interest. She is counting her toys, grouping things that are alike, practicing subtraction with her food, asking what time it is and asking about money!
Money really interests her. I was thrilled to be able to review the Munchkin Math DVD called Counting Money. It is aimed at ages 3-9 and both my 3 year old and 5 year old were very interested in it. Lauren retained everything she watched the very first time.
She searched the house for spare change, gathered everything she could find. She began sorting the change into groups and then went on to explain to me what they were all called. I was pretty much amazed at how quickly she absorbed the information from the DVD and has held on to it.
I definitely think the series would be great for any child to help them learn and I plan on getting the Telling Time DVD as well.
Mom Central will be running a Twitter giveaway between December 9 and December 16. Anyone who posts using the hashtag #Munchkin Math will be entered to win one of three Munchkin Math DVD sets, which include all three Munchkin Math titles.
For example, you could tweet:
Give you child a head start in math with Munchkin Math DVDs. RT to enter to win 1 of 3 prize packs! #MunchkinMath
Or

I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Munchkin Math and received a sample DVD to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
Holy cow, am I gonna live through this? Right now I really don’t feel like I am gonna make it through. If I do, will I make it through the next one? What about the one after that? 3 girls…is this karma for my behavior? I don’t think I was that bad of a kid. I graduated highschool, I didn’t get knocked up. I don’t remember being that mouthy to my mom, but maybe I was?
Don’t get me wrong, my kids are by no means “bad kids”. It’s just some recent disrespect and not listening that is the problem. The only reason any of the girls get in trouble is because of their mouths.
We just started a new system in our home, a ticket system. This is brilliant! The kids get a set number of tickets to start with. When they are not listening and acting up I start taking tickets away! They can also earn more tickets by completing extra tasks. I made each of the girls a shoe box with their name on it to store tickets in. I’m in the process of collecting goodies for the prize box. This will have cash in it as well. Morgan will most likely want to trade tickets for cash. So far it is working well and the little ones are eager to earn tickets! Last night Emma and Lauren earned extra tickets by helping to pick up the living room. Morgan earned extra tickets for a huge meal she prepared.
I hope this helps out, I will also be using the tickets as ways to go do fun things as well. I’ll let y’all know how we’re doing with it in a week or so.
If you have more ideas to use along with this system please share them!!!!
This Giveaway is no closed!
