This post brought to you by Slim-Fast. All opinions are 100% mine.

It’s been awhile since I had drank a Slim-Fast shake.  Honestly I couldn’t get past the can.  I would drink them and while the shake actually tasted good…I hated the can.  I would have to pour it into a glass to drink it, which was a pain on the go.

Well, all that has changed!  They have a better taste and it’s in a convenient bottle!  It’s richer and creamier and in a super convenient bottle. Throw it in your purse, no problem! Even put the lid back on it to give it another shake if it needs it.

INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGES/TIPS:

1.  People tend to eat right and exercise only when they need to look good and be their best. Learn to develop good eating and exercise habits that will be a permanent part of your lifestyle. Eat right and exercise as a daily habit. Make it your new normal.
2.  Before you eat anything today, close your eyes for a second. Meditate on how wonderful it is that you’re fueling your body with such good food. If you’re about to eat something that does not honor your body, close your eyes for a second. Talk yourself out of it.
3.  Take five minutes today and go through your refrigerator. Instead of forcing yourself to face temptation, remove it. Throw out all the food saboteurs you find there. That means anything that’s not plant-based—lunchmeat, cheese, and dairy-based salad dressings and condiments. Read More→

Yes, you read it right…I am trying out the new Turbo South Beach Diet.  Me, the girl who rarely eats meat ate meat all day long.  It was weird, but easy.  I ate a ton of veggies, which is common for me.  I even had a fudgesicle!

Morgan did it with me and she had no problems either.  It was actually a little hard for me because I am not used to eating so much.  My major food flaw is not eating enough throughout the day.  That’s really bad for someone like me that is hypoglycemic and ill.

So, I didn’t eat all of my food, but I tried.  I still have a snack left for today…

We were limited on our choices because we were using the write up in a current issue of Woman’s World magazine.  So only three choices for each meal to choose from and I am so super picky!

I did order the book, The South Beach Diet Supercharged: Faster Weight Loss and Better Health for Life and expect it to arrive next week.  I’ll keep you updated on our failure or success.

I thought for sure by now I would be ready for Summer.  I had big plans of getting in shape.  Sadly though my health has affected that plan in a negative way.  I haven’t gained weight and in fact I’m sure I’ve lost fat.  But due to the swelling of my mid section I look like I am pregnant.  Fun stuff!

My biggest issue with losing weight is the way I eat.  I don’t over eat or eat too much junk…my problem is I do not eat enough of what my body needs.  My body then holds on to everything it can because it thinks I am starving or something.

I think this could be helped with some sort of meal plan that requires so special amount of brain skills and power on my part.  Maybe something like Nutrisystem could help?  I mean really, if you have been reading up on me…my brain has went to super duper to super stupid real fast.  I just can’t figure out all this stuff on my own.  Calories, Carbs, Fat……help me now!

nutrisystem-logoNutrisystem takes all that planning stress off of me.  It’s all ready to go…all I have to do is eat it.  Have any of you tried something like this?  If so, how did it work out for you?

With Nutrisystem you can count on all of the following:

  • Variety of plans to fit your lifestyle
  • Foods you love like chocolate…lots and lots of chocolate!
  • No counting calories, carbs or points
  • 24/7 support right at your fingertips

Typical weight loss results are 1-2 lbs per week, which we all know is a healthy rate to lose at.  Sure we would all love to lose 20 lbs at the snap of our fingers.  We all know though that people that lose fast gain it back just as quickly!  Let me know your thoughts please…

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of wellnessdaily.com. All opinions are 100% mine.

Even though I don’t know what is wrong with me, I am still taking steps to be a healthier me.  Trying to make better choices, exercise more and get more rest.

I found a site today called www.wellnessdaily.com that has a lot of great info and resources.  My biggest problem with a pre written diet/meal plan is that I am picky!  I noticed an article on the site for substitutions.  I think that could be really helpful to me.  I really don’t have the time to figure out the nutritional value and substitutes myself.

I really like how you can go to this one site and have all of this great info gathered into one place for you.  You can even customize the feed in one area so that you see what you want to see.  Information on diet, exercise, finding balance.  It is all here!

I liked how many healthy recipes were available to me.  Instead of using one source they use a ton!  I think this is a great go to place for helping you find you own way to personal wellness.

We can all do it with the right tools, information and support.  I know that these are steps I need to take regardless of what is going on with me.  If I want to succeed I need to make changes.  I know I fail a lot from lack of support, being home all the time and not getting out enough.  That is all changing.  I have plans and goals!jennie-o_8

I’ve been talking to a lot of people lately about Weight Watchers.  It truly seems to make a difference for people, I think it could be beneficial to me.  It’s not that I overeat, but I think I choose the wrong combination of foods.  I think I am consuming too many empty calories. I’m not gaining weight, I tend to be stuck in the same place fluctuating down and then back to this weight over and over.

Weight Watchers has been around for over 40 years, so they must be doing something right!  I’m sure the majority of you know that Weight Watchers is a diet that is based on a point-system that counts and keeps track of the food you eat each day.  You can earn bonus points for making good healthy choices, like the exercise you do in a day.  This sounds so much more simple than counting carbs, calories, fat, etc….  I don’t have time for all that mess.  I am a busy woman.  I think I am one of the busiest women I know to be honest.  Easy would equal success!

WeightWatchersLogoThere happens to be a new Weight Watchers plan called the Weight Watchers Momentum System.  If you click my linked text at the beginning of this post you can learn more about this new plan that is designed to help you feel full longer.    I found a lot of great info at that link  and it sounds like something that I may try.  I truly think that participating in a Weight Watchers program would help me retrain my body and brain on my eating habits.

Have you used the program?  Tell me your thoughts…..
