kidskonserveI love products that encourage reuse.  Kids Konserve definitely does this.  They have tons of reusable products that are great for both Kids and Adults.

I love the look of the products, especially the food-grade stainless steel food containers and drink bottles.  I love the set I have!  I have the Snak Pak set.

snackpakThe perfect solution for on the go snacks, after school munchies, and a light lunch. Draw string bag fits nicely inside a back pack. And for $22 it is a HOLIDAY steal! 9″ x 13″.

money saving at ChristmasA lot of my family have been asking me that dreaded question….what do they get the kids for Christmas.  Well, honestly how about cold hard cash? I’m not kidding! Well don’t really send cash, but those prepaid credit cards would be perfect.

Gift cards are fine and dandy, but when a kid like Morgan, who is good with money wants to shop for the best deals around, they can be kind of hindering.  Also, she wants a few big ticket items.  If all her gift cards are for different stores that doesn’t help her get what she wants because she can’t combine them.  The prepaid credit cards can be spent anywhere and on anything.  That way if she got a few prepaid credit cards she could combine them to make one big purchase.

Same thing for the little ones.  No point in buying gifts and shipping them out here. That is a waste of money.  If you really want to get the girls gifts, you can send the prepaid credit cards and I can go get stuff from you to put under the tree and save you the hassle of paying for and shipping it out.

For those insisting on getting J and I something, the prepaid credit cards can’t go wrong.  We don’t really need anything, but if you are insisting…then one of those are great for us.  It could be set aside for movie date nights or something fun like that.  Maybe I can frame them to break in case of emergency!

I think this is what I will do for some of those hard to shop for people on my list. No guessing about where they want to shop, or what stores are near them.  No wasting money on a gift that is not  needed or liked.

I have holidays on the brain!  We do not have too many more weeks for Christmas shopping left and I am making my list and checking it twice.

I have been posting a lot about this subject and wanted to talk about how great gift baskets can be!  I think gift baskets make perfect gifts for teachers, club leaders, friends and family.  I’m thinking about getting the J-mans grandmother a gift basket this year for Christmas.

coffee gift basketI was browsing around and found something that would be perfect for her.  Like me, she is a coffee drinker.  I found a gift basket that is filled with coffee and chocolates!  It is called the Coffee Time Deluxe Coffee & Chocolate Gift Basket.  It includes Santander Coffee Bits Chocolate Bar, Marich Single Serve Chocolate Espresso Beans, Biscotti , Cafe D’Amore Espressimo Coffee, Magnum Organic Costarica Whole Bean Medium Roast, Elsa Story Cappuccino Pecan Butter Cookies, Lady Walton Dark Chocolate 2 Oz, Ghirardelli Espresso Escape Chocolate Bar, Victoria Gourmet Coffee Spoon – 2Pc and two pouches of gourmet Coffee.

Who wouldn’t be happy with that? The Ghirardelli  Espresso Escape Chocolate Bar sounds like pure heaven to me.  Wonder if it would be weird to buy myself a gift basket?  I could say it was from the kids….hmm?

Gift baskets make great “thinking about you” gifts as well! You don’t have to wait for a holiday.  Do you have a friend that is down?  They would probably love a gift basket pick me up!

daisyWith Christmas on the way, I figured this was a great item to review for you.  The Daisy Greenway Interactive Camper from Learning Curve was an instant hit with the girls.

If you are a regular reader, you may know about the community service projects we participate in.  One of which is a park cleanup that was organized by my oldest daughter.  The little ones are learning a lot about our environment and what they can do to protect it and make our world a nicer place.  The Daisy Greenway Interactive Camper helps reinforce these ideas with my little girls.

daisy2Kids have tons of fun with the camper that features a pull-out cabin! The cabin has bunk beds with a movable slide, a bathroom, a kitchen (that even has recycling bins), a dog feeding station, a pull-down TV, removable captain’s chairs, and a flip-down grill!

We were also sent two other playsets to use with the camper that included people and animals.  I really love the interactive and rewarding messages that the toy encourages.

My only issue with the camper is that the fold out side of the camper can easily disconnect.  I had to keep putting it back on for the girls, other than that we think the toy rocks!  The back of ours is covered in bumper stickers (provided with the toy).

caringcritterThe Caring for Critters playset is probably one of my favorite toys that the girls have.   It includes a girl doll, a rescue station, a doctor’s bag, a bunny, a turtle, birds in a nest, and bandage labels.  I think the girls play with this little babyswingset more than anything else we have here at the house.  They love nurturing and caring for the little critters!  We also received the Sweet Tree Swing.  It came with a baby in a cute little swing!  You can find all of the sets sold separately on the Learning Curve site.

You can find some fun games for your kids at caringcorners.com.

Thanks to Learning Curve, I get to give a Daisy Greenway Interactive Camper to one of my readers!  Just in time for Christmas!!!!
