I’m Addicted to Bloom Putty!

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

DSC_0015Bloom Putty made it’s way into my home for a review.  I waited til the kids went to bed to give it a test drive.  As soon as I opened it I was addicted.  I had to constantly fight the urge to eat the banana scented substance that kept my hands busy.  I couldn’t put it down.  The whole time I was watching Dexter with the J-man I was playing with it.  Stretching it, popping it…oh yea…it was fun and it annoyed the crap out of the J-man.DSC_0016

Today I decided to share my Bloom Putty with the kids…I didn’t want to.  Lauren thought it was the coolest thing ever. She stretched it into the tiniest strands, she made it into a ball and she popped it.  Popping it is the best!DSC_0022

It was clear, she was addictedIt’s an epidemic I’m afraid…..

DSC_0027

I don’t think there is anything I can do now but feed the obsession by getting every color and scent available.

DSC_0035

Seriously, look at the expression on her face…love?

If you are looking for some last minute gifts, this would be a huge winner for child and…adult.  Bloom Putty is Gluten-wheat, Casein-Dairy-Soy, Corn, Nut, and Latex FREE! It never dries out or crumbles.  It is also non-toxic and is made and tested in USA!

Bloom Putty is scented with organic and natural oils.  The scent of the sample I was sent to review is heavenly.  Think banana Laffy Taffy.  It is available in available in 14 scented varieties!  You can buy Bloom Putty in 3 oz containers (which you can see how much that is in the pictures I posted) for only $10.95!

I was sent a sample of Bloom Putty to review with my family.  No other compensation was received.

GForce

If you are still shopping for gifts, you may want to consider picking up G-Force for the kids!  I was given the chance to review this new movie from Disney.  The stars are special agents, very different special agents who call them selfs…G-Force!

G-Force BD artThese special agents consist of Guinea Pigs, a Mole, a Fly and some other non typical critters as special agents.  My 3 children, the J-man and I all had fun with this movie.  It has a good plot and kept you wondering what was going to happen through out.

I especially loved the Hamster character, Bucky who is voiced by Steve Buscemi!

The girls are ages 3, 5 and 11 and each equally enjoyed the movie.  Sometimes it can be hard to find movies that the whole family can be interested in.  Disney usually has it covered though!  So, head out tomorrow to pick up your copy of G-Force so you can have it under your tree this year!

You will get the Blue Ray, the DVD and a Digital copy as well, all in one package!

Trunki Ride on Luggage

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

title_homepage1I’m sure you have seen typical children’s luggage.  They usually have some cheesy saying that says “going to grandma’s” or something similar.  They usually have boring pictures on them and are not all that well made.  Well, Trunki is something totally different!

img_logoMy girls were sent a Tipu Trunki to try out.  It is the cutest luggage I have ever seen.  Not only is it cute, but it is also lightweight and durable!  It has wheels and the kids can even ride it!

Trunki is absolutely unique! Ours, called Tipu is a tiger!  When this came the girls could not wait to get their hands on it.  They are always loading it up with toys and dolls to bring downstairs and then they ride it around the kitchen.

There is quite a bit of room inside little Mr. Tipu!  I love that this is a hard case instead of cloth.  It is easy to wipe down to clean it up.  Not spilled drinks will ruin this luggage!

100620091721_tipu_openTrunki is easy for little people to open. It has easy to use clasps and zippers.  My youngest girls are 5 and 3 and have no problem opening and closing their Trunki on their own.

Watch this short video to meet Rob, the creator of Trunki!

Trunki comes in a few different looks! Check them out below!

trixieterrancelady_bugproductPic_tipu

This would be a wonderful Christmas gift for any child! They can use it for weekend trips to the Grandparents, long trips for vacation, or just to tote toys in over to a friends house!  What a functional piece of luggage this is!  I plan on picking up another one of this in the Ladybug so the girls can each have their own Trunki.

Check out our Trunki with the girls!

We were provided a Trunki to try out and review.  No other compensation was received.  All opinions are my own.

This giveaway is closed. The winner was comment #13!

Sam's Club Gifter Stress Lifter

Sam’s Club seems to know that my brain ain’t always together all the time. They keep coming up with things to help you and I get this Christmas shopping stuff under control!

I want to introduce you to the Gifter Stress Lifter site from Sam’s Club! With this site you can log on and make your list, I added my husband and daughters.  With my husband I was able to do a personality quiz on him which was pretty fun.

personalityThe first gift it popped up for the J-man was a big ‘ol flat screen T.V., Sam’s…I had no idea you knew us so well….

You can’t do personality profiles on the children, but it does allow you to enter the name and what age range they are in.  After you have completed that it brings up some gift ideas that you can browse and then choose your favorites.  This is a pretty awesome way to figure out what is available beforehand so you know what you want to have on your list!

emmasams

Just one more way that Sam’s is helping us get through this holiday season! Go check it out for yourself and have some fun!  I’m going back and adding myself to the list to see what my personality profile says….

Win a $25 Sam’s Club Gift Card!

Main Entry: Visit Gifter Stress Lifter and tell me how this can help you out with your gift giving decisions!

The Best Gifts For My Kids

Friday, November 27th, 2009

money saving at ChristmasA lot of my family have been asking me that dreaded question….what do they get the kids for Christmas.  Well, honestly how about cold hard cash? I’m not kidding! Well don’t really send cash, but those prepaid credit cards would be perfect.

Gift cards are fine and dandy, but when a kid like Morgan, who is good with money wants to shop for the best deals around, they can be kind of hindering.  Also, she wants a few big ticket items.  If all her gift cards are for different stores that doesn’t help her get what she wants because she can’t combine them.  The prepaid credit cards can be spent anywhere and on anything.  That way if she got a few prepaid credit cards she could combine them to make one big purchase.

Same thing for the little ones.  No point in buying gifts and shipping them out here. That is a waste of money.  If you really want to get the girls gifts, you can send the prepaid credit cards and I can go get stuff from you to put under the tree and save you the hassle of paying for and shipping it out.

For those insisting on getting J and I something, the prepaid credit cards can’t go wrong.  We don’t really need anything, but if you are insisting…then one of those are great for us.  It could be set aside for movie date nights or something fun like that.  Maybe I can frame them to break in case of emergency!

I think this is what I will do for some of those hard to shop for people on my list. No guessing about where they want to shop, or what stores are near them.  No wasting money on a gift that is not  needed or liked.

Zhu Zhu Pets, Have you Heard of These Critters?

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

003Not too long ago I was chosen to have a Zhu Zhu pets party.  The kids had a blast and I was able to send each kid home with their own Zhu Zhu pet.  I told all the kids that attended how they were some of the first to play with and own a Zhu Zhu pet! I told them how they could tell all their friends about them and be in on the beginning of a new trend.  I mean, I totally knew these things would be a hit, but I didn’t imagine how huge it would be!

So, back to my original Question….Have you heard of these critters? If not, you must be living under a rock somewhere.  They are selling out everywhere!  Luckily my girls each have one and have a whole set of accessories to play with.

006I do not do indoor pets! Well, we have hermit crabs, but it’s like they are not even here.  These little hamsters are awesome!  The kids have so much fun with them and they make the cutest little noises!  I love watching the Zhu Zhu pets zoom around the kitchen!

007I do have one warning, Zhu Zhu pets like to hide in the hair of curly haired little girls. Don’t ask me how she ended up with a hamster in her hair, but it happened and there were tears.  So tell your children, no hamsters in the hair!! Or maybe these things just happen at my home!

Maria Bailey & Mom Select sent 11 hamsters and a complete habitrail for me to host a party with.  No monetary compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

What Games Will Be Under Your Tree?

Friday, November 20th, 2009

nintendo_wii_1In pretty much every home I am sure there will be games under the tree! If not games, then maybe vouchers or a membership to download gamesI know that under our tree this year you will find a Nintendo Wii! I’m not really a gamer, but I played the Wii at the library once and fell in love with it.  Any game that causes kids to be active is pretty awesome in my opinion.  I had a blast playing it with Morgan and I am looking forward to this gift.  Thanks Mom and Dad! Others I know have an XBox 360 on their holiday wishlist!

I love the idea of downloading games and noticed some that are free.  A lot of games can be educational and that is an extra plus on top of the fun.  Downloading them causes less pile up of more junk in the house and trust me…as a homeschool family we don’t have that much room for more stuff!

Since we know that we are getting a Wii for Christmas I want to shop for some games!  I know that some of the games I want include:

  • Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board
  • New Super Mario Bros.
  • NHL 2K10

What other games should I look into?  Is there some sort of off-road 4×4 type game for the Wii?

Edible Christmas!

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

cookiesI think one of the best things I get for Christmas every year is Jessica’s Rum Cake It’s heavenly!  My postal carriers always seem to have a buzz when they deliver that package each year.  This year I want to bake with the girls so that we can give yummy goodness to all of our friends and family this Christmas!

Who doesn’t love fresh baked cookies? Morgan makes awesome banana bread!  I’m sure anyone would be thrilled to get some of her banana bread for Christmas.  The little ones could help with the cookies and Morgan is just a baking fool, so I am sure she will head up the cooking session.

There is nothing like a home smelling of baked sweet goodies!  This year we will pass our love to friends and families through their tummies!

What edible presents to you give at Christmas?
