If I had a Million Dollars I would buy a beautiful chunk of land with fruit trees and room to garden.  We would build our own home on this land to raise our kids in the environment we dream of.  We would build a house for my mom and dad on that same land.  We would pay off our debt, which at this point is mainly medical.

These are our goals and we will accomplish them, but having a million dollars to help sure would be nice!

I watched all 4 videos and I have to say the one I have embedded below is my favorite.  All of them were good, but this one was one that really stood out.  This one is called Good Fortune.

Digital Photo Keychain Review and Giveaway!

I love showing off the photos I take.  I’m proud of them and it makes me happy.  I had really wanted a Digital Photo Keychain to show them off on the go.  I figured it would be easy to keep it attached to my camera bag as a quick mini portfolio.

I received a Digital Photo Keychain from WholesaleKeychain.com to review and I love it!  I think these would make awesome additions to photo packages.

Wouldn’t it be awesome to be able to give your clients a personalized Digital Photo Keychain filled with images of their session?  Yes, I said personalized.  They allow you an engraved personalization on the back of the keychain.

Mine is a cute pink one.  When it came all I did was plug it’s USB into my laptop and it charged right up.  It was EASY to add photos to it as well.  This would make an awesome gift as well as promotional item.  I would love to hand these out to family at Christmas and it is at the top of my idea list.

Motor Oil Matters, $35 Jiffy Lube GC Giveaway!

I don’t know  much about cars.  I’m not a grease monkey and I would be afraid to even attempt to jumpstart a car on my own.  I don’t like touching things that could possibly hurt me.  Also, I don’t want to screw up my car due to my ignorance.

I’m so glad that there are places like Jiffy Lube that can take care of normal maintenance on my car like oil changes.  To me, those things are worth paying for.  By keeping up with that my car will live a longer healthier life.

I learned some interesting things on the Motor Oil Matters website.  Did you know that the W on a bottle of oil stands for winter, not weight as many people believe?  On the website I also found videos from Ask Patty where she talks about Motor Oil.  It’s nice to have a woman so knowledgeable to explain it to the clueless, such as I…

I really had no idea what any of the differences were and why they were different.  This site is a great resource for others like me.  It feels better to know a little about what is going on so you can do more than nod and smile when someone is discussing care car with  you!

Penguins of Madagascar Giveaway!

My girls absolutely LOVE Penguins of Madagascar!  You know who loves them the most though?  The J-Man!  We watch the movie, the cartoon…we can’t get enough of those witty sarcastic penguins!

Lauren has had an obsession with penguins since she was a baby, so when the Penguins of Madagascar came out we were all over it.  I even have a penguin tattooed on me because of Lauren!

Right now, in specially marked boxes of General Mills Cereal you can get some penguin fun for your own kids (or yourself and significant other for that matter!)

Inside specially marked boxes of General Mills cereals, you’ll “commence operations” with one of five characters from The Penguins of Madagascar; Skipper, Rico, Kowalski, Private or King Julien. Each participating cereal contains one character launcher with mission details outlined on the back of the box including:

  • Dive In, Soldier – Set an empty plastic cereal bowl on the table and try to pop your launcher into it. Wear a helmet or you’ll be squid bait.
  • Longest Propulsion Launcher – Challenge your troops to see who can launch their character the furthest. Go long or go back to the zoo.
  • Target Practice – Create a landing zone with a spoon and try to strategically drop your character into the sweet spot. Hit the target or go back to the drawing board.
  • Clear the Wall – Do you have enough projectile pop to push your launcher over the top of the box? Proceed launchin’ troops, earn those wings!

Emma and Lauren were having so much fun with the launchers. It was easy for them to do without help which is a huge plus in my book! I had flying penguins all over the living room!

The kids love Trix cereal and have almost devoured the entire box!  We are about to watch The Penguins of Madagascar Operation: DVD Premier for the billionth time and the penguins are being launched again in anticipation!  I think I need to run for cover!  Before I do….here is a giveaway for you!

Breyers Smooth & Dreamy Review and Giveaway!

Everyone loves ice cream right?  Breyers is a name that you have heard throughout the years and I am sure you have atleast tried it yourself.

My family was invited to try out some of the new items from Breyers Smooth & Dreamy bars and sandwiches.  I’ve been really trying to watch what I am eating and my first thought was YES ice cream…second thought, dang…I need to lose weight.  I was thrilled to find out that these are really not that bad for you!

The Smooth and Dreamy ice creams come in light, fat-free and no sugar added varieties.

As I looked at the choices in the grocery freezer I zoned right in on the Chocolate Caramel Brownie Ice Cream sandwiches!

Chocolate light ice cream with a gooey caramel swirl and fudge brownie pieces between two scrumptious brownie cookies.

…um, YUM! They were awesome! The kids loved them and the J-man and I as well! They were the perfect serving size and only 160 calories with 4 grams of fat!  That is totally doable!  I like getting things like this that are already a serving size all packaged up and ready to go!

I can not wait to try the Triple Chocolate Chip Bars.  They are only 130 calories and look delicious!

So…great taste and less calories….sounds awesome right?  It is!

Domino’s has made a huge decision that will end the use of professional photographs in their Pizza ads!  They also want to see photos that you take of the Pizza’s you get from Domino’s!

You could get your photo in a Domino’s ad and even win $500!

The best amateur food photographers who adhere to the photo promise might also have their shots featured in future Domino’s advertisements.

The assignment deadline is July 26th!  Four winners will be selected August 16th.

iPhone or iPod Touch Apps for Kids and $25 iTunes Giveaway!

I don’t have an iPhone.  For some reason Sprint and the iPhone haven’t started a relationship yet.  It bites.  But I do have the iPod Touch and that little baby is my brain!  With all I have going on with Meds, Appointments, Pain Diary, etc…it is all there and so much more!

I also use it to entertain the girls while waiting for appointments, or when they ask to play it.  Everything on there is fun as well as educational for them.  There are tons of apps that are perfect for toddlers on up.  Some of my favorite Apps for the girls are:

  • Bug Builder
  • Sam’s Remote (iCarly)
  • Teach Me Kindergarten
  • Matching Zoo
  • Shapes
  • Spell That
  • BrainPop
  • Vocab 4-6
  • ABC Maze
  • FlashToPass Free
  • AlphaBaby Free
  • Battleship

These are all skill building games, the  girls have a lot of fun playing them and are always asking for my iPod.  It really comes in handy while waiting at places for appointments and such.

A few days ago, Mom Central introduced us to My Living Stories.  These animated storys bring both new stories and classics to life on the iPhone and iPod Touch.  The artwork, narration and interactive features are loved by the girls. It’s easy enough that they can read along by themselves without any help from me.  If you wanted you can record your own voice to go along with the story (this feature requires an iPhone or iPod Touch with microphone capabilities).

The My Living Story classic stories include:

  • Princess & the Pea
  • King Midas
  • The Tortoise & the Hare
  • Little Red Riding Hood
  • Goldilocks and the Three Bears

As part of the My Living Stories Blog Tour, I was able to try out 3 of the 5 My Living Stories apps.  Little Red Riding Hood, King Midas and The Tortoise and the Hare.

Our opinion:

Love it!  The girls have listened to the stories over and over and that is just great.  Repetitiveness helps with the learning process.  Especially with reading!  I would love to get some more stories on my iPod for them.
