My blog used to be a place that I talked. Lately it just seems like I have let other things take priority and have not taken very much time just to talk. I need to get back to that. I thought the way to do that was to create these little scheduled posts so that I would stay with it. For instance, Molly Monday. You know what? It didn’t work. All it did was make me feel like a failure for not being consistent. I don’t need to have a schedule. I just need to write when I want to write and then write what I want to write about.
It seems like lately that I have been so worried about offending people. I bite my tongue all the time and don’t really say what is on my mind anymore. I originally was trying to eliminate stress and drama. Well, it has not eliminated stress. Holding things in is VERY stressful. I need to let it all out and duh….that is what my blog is for! I think part of that transition to censoring my thoughts and posts has to do with when I was blogging for Sam’s Club. I felt like they would fire me if I posted about something that they found offensive. In fact, I did get my ass chewed once for an add that had popped up through adsense…as if that was my fault. Hmph….
Well, I am no longer in that blogging relationship. Since then, I have learned a lot and I refuse to change myself for anyone. If a company wants to work with me, then they want to work with the real me. So, no more catering to the masses…this is my space. Ready or not…here I come!
