I feel so lucky to live where we do! We live right at Lewisville Lake! We can walk right on down anytime we want, but honestly we prefer taking the boat and really getting out there! Right now we have a Bass boat. We love to fish and my husband actually participates in Bass fishing tournaments.
The kids love cruising the lake “super fast”. They also love fishing, just like daddy. Me? I love to go fishing as well. I really love going out on the lake at night with Jeremy. Just the two of us, fishing by moonlight. Talk about peace and quiet! It is so relaxing out there at night.
Now, while we can all fit on our Bass boat, we have seriously been looking for something with a bit more room. Something we can really spend the day with our family on.
DiscoverBoating.com really makes it easy to see just what kinds of boat would be perfect. One thing we had been talking about is a Pontoon boat. There is so much room and it’s a great boat for spending the day on.
By choosing the amount of passengers as 8 (in case we want to invite friends out), price range, etc. I was able to find out just what sort of boats would work best for our needs. The Pontoon Boats popped up along with several other boats. You can click on the boats to get more information, just like the image shows below.
As you can see it gives you an easy glance at the facts. If you click on Boat Details & Brands you will pull up even more information such as prices and models.
There is so much great information on Discover Boating. You can find out pretty much anything you need to know about boats, including where to go boating!
I think the website is full of wonderful information for anyone that enjoys boating, or looking into boating. Discover Boating is a nonprofit program supported by the U.S. recreational boating industry to help people get on the water to experience the fun of boating.
Did you know that 90 percent of Americans live within an hour’s drive of a navigable body of water? 69 percent of boaters say boating brings their families closer together, according to a Discover Boating survey…I have to agree. It was cool to learn that American boaters are largely ‘middle-class’! 73 percent of U.S. boat owners have an annual household income less than $100,000 and 95 percent of boats in the U.S. are less than 26 feet—small boats taken by trailer to local bodies of water.
So how about you? Do you have a boat? Have you went boating as a family? Tell me about it!
I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Discover Boating and received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
