Frozen Planet airs every Sunday night at 8 pm on the Discovery channel. I had never watched it until recently, we were missing out for sure. I was sent a 3-disc complete series collection. We have not made it through the entire series yet, but what we have watched so far has been phenomenal!
The series is from Emmy® Award winning Executive Producer Alastair Fothergill (of Planet Earth) and is narrated by the legendary Sir David Attenborough, hailed by The UK Telegraph as “the father of natural history television.”
The camera work was nothing short of amazing! The time and effort put into the filming is evident. Beautiful time lapse video showing you just what happens. I was truly amazed by what was captured!
The kids were enthralled with eyes riveted to the screen the entire time it was playing, their little minds just soaking it all in like sponges. This is a great educational tool. Something that made them feel like they were right there experiencing it first hand.
We had a little viewing party! We cooked on the grill and even had themed cookies!
I am anxious for this evening to come so that we can watch more episodes!
