Wordless Wednesday

We like to go on family walks, but the summer kept us confined quite a bit.  Now that it has cooled down, we are totally taking advantage of it.  It is so nice to be outside!

The other day we went on a walk on a lake trail we have never been on.  I didn’t even know it was there!  So a very cool find for us.  There was a lot of interesting things to be seen on this walk.  The lake is way down from our drought.  Where parts of the lake was supposed to be, there was what appeared to be a meadow from a distance.

It’s kind of sad…you know seeing the lake bed, but also neat at the same time.  We found all sorts of things at the “bottom of the Lake”.  Like someone’s old bike.  Very cool!

  7. we have a few ‘marshy’ areas that often dry up during no rain times, and lakes & creeks that drop, part of nature I guess. I wonder if the bike was lost when someone tried to ride on thin ice? does it ever freeze by you? it made for beautiful pictures tho and I bet a great nature walk with the family :)

It freezes here, but not enough that anyone would dare go on the ice. I think it was more of a case of a stolen bike. Not too long ago I took a shot of a bike hanging on a tree in the middle of the lake.

Thank you! That butterfly was flying really high! When he landed he was way up in a tree. Thankfully I had my super duper spy lens!
