L’Oreal Youth Code Review and Giveaway!

I am so excited to be a part of the H-E-B Beauty Blogger Program! I am so lucky to take part in this with 9 other Texas Bloggers!  This is the perfect chance for me to try out new products that I can share with you, my readers!  I tend to forget about taking care of myself and I hope to change that this year.

It’s been a long haul since having the tumor out.  For the longest time I couldn’t exercise.  I’m happy to report that I can now exercise!

I am on the road to getting myself in better shape as well as health.  This also means I am caring more about my appearance again!  Yea!

So let’s discuss this first product that I received as part of the H-E-B Beauty Blogger Program which is called L’Oreal Youth Code. I received the Clinical Strength Starter System which comes with a 1.0 FL. OZ. SPF 30 Day Lotion, a 0.5 OZ Day/Night Cream and a 0.33 FL. OZ. Eye Cream.

It seems like since I have gotten “sick” I am really aging.  I hate saying that.  I still think of myself as 24 years old…but alas…I’m not 36.  I’m almost 40.  Yes, I said it.

I’ve always had issues with dry skin.  Especially my nose, forehead, between my eyes and my chin.  My skin looks all flaky and gross in those areas.  It’s really hard to find a balance though.  It’s either too dry or two oily.  I have found some natural skin care that has really helped.  I still was open to try even more new products.  So I skipped out on my normal routine and gave it a few days with no treatments so I could start fresh with the L’Oreal Youth Code.

The first night I applied the eye cream as well as the Day/Night Cream.  The eye cream was awesome!  I totally thought it would feel heavy and greasy, but it really wasn’t at all.  I love the applicator which has a metal tip that cools your skin as it de-puffs your under eye mommy bags!  I have never seen an eye cream that had an applicator like this.  I hit it off with this eye cream right away because of that applicator.  It’s almost like getting some fancy spa massage!  The Day/Night Cream also wasn’t heavy and greasy.  My dry skin soaked it right up.

The next morning I applied the eye cream again and then the SPF 30 Day Lotion.  The first thing I noticed about the SPF 30 Day Lotion was the awesome twist lock lid!  Rad!  It’s a pump and you can just twist it and it prevents the pump from being compressed while in your make up bag.  This was a nice silky lotion that again was soaked up by my skin with no greasy heaviness.

After using the routine for a few days I started adding my foundation to the SPF 30 Day Lotion and applying it together.  Cut down a quick beauty routine to an even quicker one.  It also allowed my foundation to go on much smoother.

I even took the Day/Night Cream with me on my Trip to the Red Carpet this past weekend.  The small jar was perfect for travel.

Overall I love the design as well as the function of the products.  There are no over powering scents and no greasiness.  I have had no breakouts from introducing them into my daily regimen.  I would totally recommend this to all my mommy friends.  Definitely that Eye Cream!

What is Youth Code?
