Fall premiere of “30 Rock”

The Fall premiere of “30 Rock” is pure ‘win.’ Titled, “The Fabian Strategy, ” I watched the episode on satellite TV from www.expertsatellite.com on Thursday, September 23rd. Its the 1st episode in the 5th season of “30 Rock” and was the best yet.

The episode has Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) continuing to meddle in Liz Lemon’s (Fey) relationship with Carol (Matt Damon). Things never change as Jack is still determined to help Liz have a relationship that actually lasts. Its amusing how on the other end of the spectrum, Jack struggles with the unhappiness caused by his long lasting relationships. This time he is confounded when he has to compromise with his girlfriend Avery Jessup (Elizabeth Banks) as she redecorates his place. I can see why he bends to her whims though since Banks is super hot. This time he tries to employ “The Fabian Strategy,” to hysterical results. Liz is apparently having troubles committing to Carol when she knows he is an airline pilot and hence they will have a limited amount of contact to build a relationship with one another.

The side stories have Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan) having issues with coming to terms with Kenneth Parcell (Jack McBrayer) getting fired (as a page for NBC) and dealing with Jenna Maroney (Jane Krakowski) becoming the producer of Jordan’s fictional sketch comedy show, “The Girlie Show (TGS) with Tracy Jordan.”
