I’ve been talking to a lot of people lately about Weight Watchers. It truly seems to make a difference for people, I think it could be beneficial to me. It’s not that I overeat, but I think I choose the wrong combination of foods. I think I am consuming too many empty calories. I’m not gaining weight, I tend to be stuck in the same place fluctuating down and then back to this weight over and over.
Weight Watchers has been around for over 40 years, so they must be doing something right! I’m sure the majority of you know that Weight Watchers is a diet that is based on a point-system that counts and keeps track of the food you eat each day. You can earn bonus points for making good healthy choices, like the exercise you do in a day. This sounds so much more simple than counting carbs, calories, fat, etc…. I don’t have time for all that mess. I am a busy woman. I think I am one of the busiest women I know to be honest. Easy would equal success!
There happens to be a new Weight Watchers plan called the Weight Watchers Momentum System. If you click my linked text at the beginning of this post you can learn more about this new plan that is designed to help you feel full longer. I found a lot of great info at that link and it sounds like something that I may try. I truly think that participating in a Weight Watchers program would help me retrain my body and brain on my eating habits.

I did ww before I got preggo and lost about 20 pounds. It was great. I wasn’t much for going to the meetings cause I was young and felt out of place. I would love to do ww again, all the resources really helped.
What do you think about the online version? Do you think it would make you as accountable as actually going to “real” meetings?
I think if you stick with it yeah. I have always been scared of doing the online because I know me and I know I would do better in person because of the support and I would do better sticking to something if I had to actually go in and weigh myself as opposed to doing it all at home and being lazy with it.
Oh and I meant I did it before I got married not preggo lol
I did the online version and started out great, but eventually I got sick of having to look up every little thing to calculate the points. I mean, they have a lot of it listed online, but it was still a pain to me.
My SIL swears by it and is doing it right now. It’s a good program, but I don’t think it’s as easy as they make it sound. That’s just my opinion.
We did WW before and lost some weight. But having to calculate points was a pain.
We are just counting calories now. I used http://www.dailyplate.com But basically I just make sure Im eating fruits and veggies, lean meats and very few carbs. Whole Wheat breads, etc. Oh and working out! Ive lost about 8lbs in 2 weeks!
I have used WW since 2003 on and off as I need it. I am currently doing it as well. I have only even done the online program and I LOVE IT. It works because it holds you accountable for every calorie but still allows you to treat yourself if you plan right.
I keep the tracker open on my computer all the time.
I love that if i want pizza or tacos or pasta one day, all I have to do is plan accordingly.

I did WW about 5 years ago, I lost 23 lbs in about 4 months! I chose to do the program online, because I had just had my daughter a few months earlier, and had heard way to many horror stories on the WW message boards about bringing kids to meetings!
I have to say the only problem I had was not always registering everything I ate, and not using all of my flex points! Other than that, being able to eat whatever I want and learing how to portion out my food was great and has stuck with me this whole time!
And of course, I do have to warn you… the Mom message boards, well, they can be BRUTAL!!! Very, very helpful, but also very harsh to newcomers! I got myself VERY worked up more than a few times over those boards, lol!
