FINALLY!
Emma turned 3, LAST April! She had no interest in using the potty what so ever. Her life was way to busy to have to stop and sit on a potty! She had better things to do with her time. Well, mama had better things to do than change diapers on a 3 yr old. I tried everything!
Want to know what finally worked? Wednesday I told her we were going to 4H but she would have to stay home with Daddy. I told her that we wouldn’t be able to take her places until she used the potty. I explained to her that at her age she was completely capable of using the potty and there would be no more diapers.
Thursday, she woke up and put her panties on first thing. It is now Friday. She has used the potty everytime and has not had even one accident! She even woke up dry this morning and went straight to the potty!
Finally, diapers were cramping her style and interfering with her social life of glitz and travel!

I’m so happy for you! I would love for Kaydee to do the same thing but at 2 1/2 she still has no interest in using the potty.

Awesome!!!! It took threats of no panties at all- while wearing a dress- to get Liv to do #2 in the potty. Kids are so weird!!

Nice! Good work Emma! And congrats to Mama! My son still wears diapers at night and nap and I think it will be a while until he’s night trained. That’s awesome that simply reasoning with her and explaining the consequences of not using the potty worked. She’s a smart cookie.

Yay Emma! I hear you there, Stella turned 3 in May and we also were having trouble with potty training, especially after the move. Now it’s a lot better, during the day she always has underwear on, and yesterday I even took her in the car and she took a nap – no accident! Yay for our little girls, it’s about time, right?
