Not too long ago I was chosen to have a Zhu Zhu pets party. The kids had a blast and I was able to send each kid home with their own Zhu Zhu pet. I told all the kids that attended how they were some of the first to play with and own a Zhu Zhu pet! I told them how they could tell all their friends about them and be in on the beginning of a new trend. I mean, I totally knew these things would be a hit, but I didn’t imagine how huge it would be!
So, back to my original Question….Have you heard of these critters? If not, you must be living under a rock somewhere. They are selling out everywhere! Luckily my girls each have one and have a whole set of accessories to play with.
I do not do indoor pets! Well, we have hermit crabs, but it’s like they are not even here. These little hamsters are awesome! The kids have so much fun with them and they make the cutest little noises! I love watching the Zhu Zhu pets zoom around the kitchen!
I do have one warning, Zhu Zhu pets like to hide in the hair of curly haired little girls. Don’t ask me how she ended up with a hamster in her hair, but it happened and there were tears. So tell your children, no hamsters in the hair!! Or maybe these things just happen at my home!

I heard two ladies talkin’ about these things on Black Friday. They were standin’ in front of piece of paper that had been taped to a shelf in Target that said somethin’ about “due to the demand of the zhu zhu pet hamsters, please limit one per person”. That was the first I’d ever hear of ‘em. They were sayin’ they had seen these things goin’ for THOUSANDS. I about freaked! Turns out, you can buy that shit on ebay all day long for like $20 – $30!
